So this game may have been cancelled, or maybe is still in development, or who knows

But a few years back I saw a video about it and I remember being quite intrigued and then I never heard about it since.

So here's what I remember:

It was an open world survivor game. It wasn't super sci-fi but there were robots/drones/Androids or whatever.

And what stood out the most was the "memory" the game engine had. By that I mean you were supposed to be able to maybe shoot off an arm from one of the robots and maybe a week later you might run into that robot still missing it's arm.

Annnnd unfortunately that's about all I remember.

Anyone else have any idea what I'm talking about?

Don't suppose it might have been Horizon: Zero Dawn or Generation Zero?

Haven't played either game myself, so I don't know about the memory thing, but everything else sounds like it fits.

All enemies are persistently simulated in the world, and roam the landscape with intent and purpose. When you manage to destroy a specific enemy component, be it armor, weapons or sensory equipment, the damage is permanent. Enemies will bear those scars until you face them again, whether that is minutes, hours, or weeks later.

Thanks, You rock dude, it was Generation Zero.

Horizon: Zero Dawn was awesome too, and I'm looking forward to that sequel a lot.
