Dear God, this is ridiculous on the level of "Bush did 9/11". Israel got complacent, assumed that Hamas was moderating and their new supertech electronic fence coupled with Iron Dome could easily prevent any kind of Hamas attack. The main security threat was assumed to be the constant tension around the West Bank settlements, and any intel indicating Hamas was planning an attack got ignored.

At the time of the attack, a religious holiday was happening as well so they were extra caught off guard.

I was talking about the sense that how we Christians are told not to fear death, especially a martyr's death.

Now, obviously, Islam/Hamas differs from Christianity in the fact that their view of a martyr's death involves killing as many enemies of the false deity Allah as possible. Along with the fact that their religion is much more approving when it comes to the subject of atrocities against other human beings. Which is not good. Obviously.

Nor was i calling Islam a sect of Christianity. I'm not sure where people got that one from, but that's a whole different level of incorrect.

I never said anything about it being fake. In this situation I said that Israel is right to crush Hamas. We were just talking about other things Israel has done like if they should genocide all the Palestinians, or the Sampson option. Please read what we say carefully.

Both sides 'want' you to become emotionally incontinent for any particular side. Palestine wants islamists around the world to start rioting and kill more innocent people, Israel wants their good goys to donate more free money and throw more young men into the middle east meatgrinder.
