I'm not even sure where to post this, but all over social media right now, and particularly on Nextdoor, I'm seeing boomers and boomers-in-spirit talk about how there's something extra sinister about fireworks this year. Kids have been setting them off every night in my city and every city—as far as I can tell, it's exactly the same as it was last summer. Maybe it started a little earlier, just people blowing off steam now that the quarantine is loosening up. But anyway, Nextdoor boomers are posting screenshots from Facebook about how the Boogaloo Bois are setting off explosives in black neighborhoods to harass and terrorize the residents. One person still tethered to reality wrote, "Citizens have politely asked the offenders to stop their activities at a reasonable hour. This did not go well for them and they advised nobody approach these people." (No description of the offenders, of course—there are no "offenders," because this is all bullshit). But this is mostly being ignored in favor of the Facebook memes.
I just want to know when normal people became conspiracy freaks en masse. They're seeing shadowy groups of Russian spies and white supremacist death squads behind the most mundane nonsense. We've reached a point where posts about elite pedophiles trafficking children through underground tunnels in pizzeria basements are actually less insane than what the normies and media are spouting.

Still doesn't change the fact that there aren't secret white supremacist gangs setting off those NYC fireworks either. For one thing, white supremacist organizations are 50% feds, there's no way they'd be able to keep involvement in something like that a secret.

I agree that they should have the book thrown at them, but the way the charges are really showing some of the problems with the legal system. Three of those charges overlap in this instance (use of an explosive, use of a destructive device, arson), molotovs aren't really explosives anyway.
In their zest to attain tougher convictions the legal system tends to get a bit too flagrant with what they press. It reminds me of a car accident I read about years ago, the guy was charged with vehicular manslaughter, vehicular assault and assualt, it made no sense.

The caveat being that they're *actually* peaceful, like 2nd Amendment protests, rather than blatant riots with the media running cover for them.

In fairness to the whole 'Pizzagate' thing, while the 'underground pizza sex ring' thing is retarded. If you strip away the dumb veneer it's pretty obvious that there is something really, really fucking off with the MSM and the ruling elites. We have seen more and more sexual abuse scandals and child sex abuse scandals come to light where webs of high profile powerful individuals would have been in positions to see it; and to take part in it.
Epstein had a sex dungeon and an actual full on torture room; not like BDSM thing, a SAW style dentist chair with all furnishings. Epstein ran a sex cult on his island that you know that everyone fucking knew about. Pizzagate reminds me a lot of 'Muslamic ray guns' where it's like 'hahaha yeah, what a dumb thing' on the surface, but then when you sit down and think about it, and look at it, it becomes very clear that there is something fundamentally wrong with the whole situation. Of course what Mr Ray gun was trying to say was actually 'Islamic rape gangs'; which everyone mocked right up until it came out that 20'000 plus girls had been raped by Muslims (including Muslim police officers) with the knowledge of the home secretary and chief diversity officer for labour. Give it a few years and 'Pizzagate lol' will become 'Shame about those kids Rachel Maddow was eating'
Fuck me, they had a party where the main 'meal' was a model of a dead person in a bathtub full of blood that you ate; it wasn't a themed thing, or some whacky idea. It was just there. That's not something normal, mentally stable people do.

There is an element of that among the "true believers," yes. But among the moneymen who are really calling the shots, they're perfectly willing to let you have whatever will make you happy... as long as whatever it is will keep you a compliant, addicted slug-man who will stay out of the way and consoom silently.
There is nothing libertarian about these people. If they leave you alone or legalize your favorite consumption method or give you awesome new widgets, it's because they think they will be an excellent form of soma to keep you happily irrelevant.

Nah. My guess is that they view the Evangelicals as the enemy, they are often Trump supporters afterall. So they specify "white jesus" to try to break off black churches in the South from the Evangelicals. This doesn't factor in groups like the Catholics because most Americans don't look at the demographic numbers and realize how many of them there are. The Papacy is generally pretty wary of getting involved with groups they haven't looked into, especially after getting their toes stepped on by people like Mother Theresa.

Even most modern religious people in the US are too lukewarm to really care even if there was a new Schism. They'll just do whatever gets them condescending headpats from the gutmenschen. Why not? They barely believe in their own religion anymore.
