UCLA professor suspended, under police protection after threats

Students demand short final or no final due to protests. Professor of 39 years refuses, saying that in ran against the rules of only offering exemptions for extenuating circumstances, and protests did not count. Also the class was online and he wasn't going to try and guess the skin color of his students. Students complained, professor was suspended, professor got death threats.

Those students are woefully unprepared for any kind of job or managing their lives. I would love to see someone try to put professional protestor on their resume, companies sure love that. /rolls eyes.

'Oh, can't pay my taxes, just complain and say there are black people dying in the streets. Oh look, I lost my job protesting, and I need to fight against black people dying in the streets. Oh, I can't pay my rent, just complain and say there are black people dying in the streets. Oh, I can't find a job and am doing drugs, well it is the fault of the white man oppressing me and black people are dying in the streets. Oh, look I just robbed a store to try and make ends meet since I have no personal accountability and I need mah drugs and there are no police, and black people are dying in the streets. Look I just got shot, I am dying in the streets.'

Tires are not covered by insurance. Making it costly to keep driving to the protests. Forces the people to walk and waste time. Also money to fix their cars, since most cars only have one spare, this means they need to pay a couple hundred for a town and then another couple hundred to get new tires. Locals are less likely to burn down their own neighborhood at least.
That doesn't change the fact that not every car they slashed has a owner that is involved in this protest and like you said because their is no insurance on tires this means that some people will have to pay up to a thousand dollars out of pocket to replace them when they didn't have to and that is devastating considering that not many people have that type of money on hand.
The breakdown of order tends to do that. Escalation and retaliation.

They better have insurance as they used to say to the business owners.
Tires don't have insurance and I am not talking about protesters merely ordinary Joe's who happen to have their cars tires slashed by the police due to a protest taking place nearby

Give it time, they'll proudly picture themselves doing like this to Mt. Rushmore if they got the chance.

They do I will go after them myselves.

Is the glow in the darks getting busy rounding them up?

The FBI are scary
This actually isn't a good thing, as policemen destroying private property without warrants especially if they don't know if those cars belong to protestors or not isnt a good thing. In the medics case I doubt they did anything to deserve their tires slashed and now they have to pay to replace them for the no real reason.

It's a mix based of publicity that's for sure.
Eh, they most liekly know where the locals park and where visitors park, and probrably staked it out.
Oh what a twist... The same people that let Obama get away with the NSA and more terrorism legislation are now feeling what that legislation does to your rights. They should be glad Trump is hiding in his bunker instead of using the full power of all the shit Bush and Obama passed into law, if he wanted he could practically neuter the entire left under the name of "National Security" and just disappear most of his hardcore opposition. I wonder if Hillary Clinton would have shown this much restraint.
Look up EO 12333, that tells you what all the NSA and Intel can do. there are more but I dont know what is unclass and not
Well, according to Andy Ngo as of two hours ago, The Seattle East Precinct is still walled off and communists and anarchists are out in force, telling police it's "their commune" and to go away.

In other words, they're gonna have to bring in the Feds, and the military.

Found some noteworthy bits from a thread by Jake Hanrahan.

Seems like they mean business, the FBI is openly moving in, it’s time for antifa to put up or shit up.

The FBI dont ever play around
Fort Worth is the other half of Dallas if that's what you're asking. Its called the Dallas-Fort Worth region as those two cities have swallowed up every other township in the region. I'm actually really disappointed in this. Dallas is a Democrat stronghold and I'd expect this kind of stunt from there, but Fort Worth is classically so right-wing they'd allow oil drilling downtown. Who even is the mayor right now?

Oh, its Betsy Price, a UT alumni. That probably explains it.
Ft Worth and Dallas are surrounded by gun toting Texans, notice it did not leave the cities

Again probrably staking out the areas protestors park.

Oh, lovely. They've sent me a mo-ron.

They really shouldn't post these unless they want their job gone.

If I want to be a dick and get away with it, I must live far away to be life independent, be a warlord who laughs at any demand from the UN or be an international terrorist.

I remember two examples of that from german history. The first time, the leaders got stabbed in the lungs and were thrown into the river of bayern; the second time, the nazis took over becuse the people were sick of commies destroying their property. History sure loves to rhyme, eh?

Obviously, they should have just let the Commies destroy it all and become a Communist Nation

Plus, they’ll have to make people ignore or never know about that stuff

As far as people know, Hitler just exploited a defeated people, not a defeated people that were having to deal with some Communists exploiting them

If ANTIFA’s membership include middle to upper class guys, how much can they be sued or made to pay for the damages?

Actually now that I think about it, lots of politicians and businessmen will probably go wonder why they never thought letting their “kids” run along doing this wouldn’t mean they wouldn’t have to pay for anything broken

Nope, let the shitlibs deal with the monster they created. They can call the National Guard or beg Feds for asistance, but right now they are simply stalling for time, hoping that Trump will save them, so they can denounce him for those much craved victimhood points.

Cool down on motardation a bit, using military at home is always the last resort and not something to be done because it looks cool in movies. Also military SF units are not a magic wang, they don't get much hostage rescue training, so dead hostages are very much a possibility.
More of a joke then anything on the hostage part. That is Delta and HRT job. SF would just go in and take out the people they see as a threat

Walmart I hope understands to pull the fuck out of there, at least until Law is established. They have a very large issue with shop lifting, and they may be the biggest Super market out there for a reason. Walmarts pulling out is neer a good sign. THey better hope they dont if they wanna have the many jobs walmart employes

*Was literally yelling at her aldermen a few hours ago because she was unwilling to put enough resources to protect their neighborhoods. Is stunned retailers don't want to come back to said burnt down and abandoned neighborhoods.*

Sometimes I really wonder if some of these officials actually have a single functioning brain cell.

They live in a VERY different reality, one chock full of idealistic morons and guys who think themselves longterm thinkers trying to explout said idealistic morons only to end up believing the same idealistic insanity

That goes also for the big businesses, if they don’t at the very least from now on, choose to increase security for their everything, then they’re gonna get looted in the next “protest”

The businesses will look at how much each store was bringing in, the cost of rebuilding, and the risk of another incident. Anyone with half a brain realize that the publicity won't even matter. Therefore, unless the situation changes on the ground, you will easily lose a lot of stores in these riot prone areas.
