In my opinion Willy Wonka is actually a crossdressing witch, like from The Witches by the same author. He manufactures candy, to do as much good for children with as little actual time with them, because he still has that same instinctual revulsion that witches get from them. His "stay in the factory" thing is also to flood his noses with scents of the factory to drown that of any py Oompa Loompa children. All the accidents in the factory aren't malicious, it's just that he's still a sociopath BUT he's really unsympathetic to the losers because his thought processes are "I'm a demonic creature, what's your excuse for being an asshole?" His exact motive, being altruism or a desire to not get hunted, is unclear.

Harry Dresden will use the Word of Kemmler to take and make use of the souls of the entire White Council in order to get a power up to fight a horrible foe

It turns him into “something else”

He is noted to be biologically human, but his genetics maybe something else entirely, he eventually realises he is immortal & can revive after death

He hears the souls of the many wizards within him, screaming in agony

Mab momentarily kills him in order to gain a different Winter Knight, due to him being too powerful and makes comments that they are “near” the same level of power and now.....he has duties with that power, ones he will impose on himself before giving a hug out of empathy or understanding and also saying he will do things that will sicken him and time & power will make him possibly see people as mere insects
