And there seems to be a strong anti-Western (which they call white over there in the states) masked as anti-Romanism.

Which is ironic because likely many of the things that made the modern world what is today was because of the Roman civilization, which into turn it trickle down to this movie.

Yeah I'm cautious on criticizing it for being anti-historical since it looks to be a comedy or satire film which mitigates in part the laughable veneer of Black Africans being the primary natives of White Roman occupied Israel but it does seem to have some pretty strong Anti-Western and ant-Christian themes in it.

In other words, typical Hollywood-style fare?

Or its own interpretation of Christianity.

To a degree, Christianity did COME to Africa first in Armenia and East Africa if I remember correctly.

Planet Hulk was a good watch, despite Its obvious flaws the creative decisions made only served to help improve the storytelling on the platform in which these nearly self-same concepts we're portrayed. They had a clear understanding of the themes at play, with a level of decorum for the source material which cannot be said for many an adaption nowadays.

Plus, Bill was bitchin'.

Planet Hulk was pretty good. It was always going to be a challenge adapting such an awesome comic to like a seventy minute cartoon or something, especially with Marvel's somewhat abysmal record and consistency with releasing quality animated cartoons.

But they did a good job with the limits they had.

And the fight with Beta Ray Bill was actually epic. I think I liked it more then the comics version with Silver Surfer ironically enough. Beta Ray Bill is a BEAST and I don't say that because he's an equine species.

If I metàphoricàlly dissect PT, the would-be Silent HIll by Kojimà, I wouldn't be surprised if I see references to this movies.

Oh Planet Hulk was awesome. Normally I'm a little indifferent when it comes to the Hulk, just not my kind of hero, but I absolutely loved this. Putting him on this alien world, letting him fight and make allies like a green-skin John Carter it's amazing stuff.

The comic series it was based off of was pretty awesome too. A true fave.

Speaking of comic-based flicks, Dredd (2012) was and still-is an amazing watch; Karl Urban truthfully brought the character to life expressing his discipline and absolute regard to the Law while still preserving his comically silent-stoicism. Not to mention how they we're able to convey the corruption, dystopia, and absolute degeneracy of Mega City One. Contrasting that with the bumbling and unsure yet gifted P.S.I Judge Anderson.

That being said, I enjoyed it, the movie is quick to set the tone making the self-imposed Lockdown and ascent into the mega complex of Peach Trees a suspenseful and well-paced experience.

PsihoKekec

Swashbuckling Accountant
The prequel to WH40K. I really liked the movie, while I'm not particular fan of gore (unless it's Bad Taste or Evil Dead Style), I would be really interested see what true directors cut of this one would look like, too bad we most likely will never know.

This is a movie I would be interested to see but I have no idea how to get it frankly.
