Well, the new Marathon game looks like trash. 28 years we've waited for a new game, and now the Monkey's Paw curls.
Okay I don't want to say "You really should've expected that", but...You really should've expected that from MARATHON of all things.
Yeah I'm sure that bungie created IP that was exclusive to MacOS two decades ago is TOTALLY going to get a high quality respectful reboot.

Oh hey! I wonder if Massive Entertainment is going to make a completely KICKASS reboot of World in Conflict, I'm sure Massive has been working on some good projects lately!

The only game close to world in conflict is gonna be broken arrow which is still more like Wargame then World in conflict.
Indie studios definitely seem to be the best way for games for right now, though with China getting a larger stake of Ubusoft we may see better AC games, but worse FarCry and Tom Clancy as now its all about working eith the despots

Marathon isn't going to have a chat to make sure the game (about shooting and murdering people with guns) is 'safe'.

All the characters are hideously ugly, all of them are super androgenous, they have a list of mental disorders, their clothes look more ridiculous than a clowns and the guns look like like children toys.
I literally could immediately tell the devs were super gay the moment the characters were revealed.
And a casual look through twatter shows they are.
The game is not for me, it is for the 1000 people who played concord. the so called "modern audience".

Marathon.
Long ago Bungie tried to make a game called Marathon which had a bug that formatted people's HDDs.
They sold to Microsoft to cover the lawsuits and then made Halo.
Decades later, a whole new (super gay) team catfishing using their name are now reviving the IP for marathon.
Some eldritch horror thing happened and exterminated an entire human colony.
Now a bunch of people remote controlling humanoid drone bodies are fighting to loot it.
MS is extraordinarily DEI focused. And is pushing trans kids even in states where it is illegal to do so and fighting to keep their racist sexist hiring practices.
in 2022 MS sold bungie to sony. who spent 400 million dollars to develop this new Marathon game.
The new Marathon game is a plotless PvP extraction shooter which is making all the technical mistakes possible for that genre.
In addition to all the technical mistakes, it also the following issues:
- Its chars are mostly ugly masculine females. With the occasional ugly feminine men.
- There will only be 6 characters to choose from on launch.
- The chars revel in their mental disorders.
- The designs are hideously ugly.
- The guns are hidously ugly and look like toys.
- The devs are extremely gay according to their twatter profiles.
- Told fans "this game isn't made for you" when asked for PvE content
They are also making it cost full price PLUS microtransactions & battle passes.
Oh, and they decided to disable proximity voice chat because it would be "extremely toxic" due to not being able to censor it for wrongthink.

Honestly the fact a huge chunk of the trailer is dedicated towards a character who looks like a trans-clown getting therapy from an AI is just ridiculous.
edit: apparently they try to justify both the therapy and the androgyny as the result of constant cycle of death and rebirth and the toll it takes on their mind.
but:
1. they should have gone in other directions rather than ugly gay looking humans. like in elden ring.
2. very convenient coincidence that the plot demanded that all the trans looking characters were made by LGBTQP devs.
3. if your plot requires you to write the chars as disgusting degenerate trans-clowns then rewrite your plot to not require it.
4. they are not even really dying. its just robots they remote pilot.
5. I disagree with their premise that a cycle of death and rebirth can only result in everyone turning into trans-clowns
