Howdy, this is simply a board for Alternative NFL timelines, perhaps a draft goes different, or something of the sort. Anyways, TL - 1 begins now!
_____________

This timeline is thus- What if Atlanta hadn't taken Mike Vick? Personally I find it hard for Atlanta to not take him. Coming into the draft he seemed to be the best prospect, but still, in this scenario they don't take him. This sends a few ripples that occur in this draft. They are as follows:

1-1 Atlanta Falcons - Drew Brees

1-3 Cleveland Browns - Richard Seymour

1-4 Cincinnati Bengals - Michael Vick

1-6 New England Patriots - Gerard Warren

2-32 San Diego Chargers - Chris Weinke

First off the bat is Atlanta getting Drew Brees. He was the second best QB and was someone that you could expect to go higher than he had. Cleveland should've picked Richard Seymour anyways in this draft, and a bit of a modification here will be beneficial for them in the long run, as while Gerard Warren is good, he's not exceptional, at least not on a mediocre team like Cleveland. Then comes Michael Vick to Cinci, it makes sense as Cinci was in a precarious position, their QB at the time was honestly average, but he had people such as T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Chad Johnson, both of whom had yet to grow. IF they're paired up with a decent QB this early in their career, they could both become NFL Hall of Famer's. Chris Weinke takes Drew Brees spot, making San Diego tonights biggest loser.

The Season would progress roughly the same OTL, with NE riding high on a Superbowl championship, but the win collums are a bit different this go around.

Cleveland Browns: 8-8

Cinncinati Bengals: 8-8

San Diego Chargers: 4-12

New England Patriots: 10-6

Atlanta Falcons: 6-10

While these changes don't do much, they will put forth more changes in the next year. Of which I hope to double in chapter size. The 2002 season shall bring greater change, until then...
