Those riots blew over quickly. There is no political alternative to submission to globalism as a mayor part of their GDP is being the EU tax haven for corporations, if that is gone their economy crashes and they go back to borderline third world existence. Politicians (including supposedly nationalist but actually socialist Sinn Fein) will never allow that and most of population is too sedantry to fight for a change. Political system can withstand occasional outburst of native anger.

They tend to start caring very, very much in very short order when people start acting against them. And if not by the voting box, then when the people start acting with force.
And before you say 'people these days are too lazy':
1) people have said that right before a lot of revolutions and civil wars- and often times, the lazy people don't get much choice in the option of if they want to fight or not.
2) by saying that you are helping the oligarchy by dissuading people from action.

The amendment to require warrants (you know, that thing required by the document that created the House of Representatives) for queries of US citizens...was a tie-vote that Speaker Johnson broke in favor of rejecting the amendment.
