Their "Golden Age" basically collapsed when they couldn't spread by the sword anymore -- well, that and they pissed off the Mongols.
Also, what that "anti-Islamophobe" girl is missing is that the Muslim World didn't hold all that territory at the same time.
That'd be as if a map of the British Empire still had the American Colonies as part of its territory while also marking down its then-current gains across the world, when the Colonies hadn't been part of the Empire for like a hundred years minimum by that point. smh
Phobia in those contexts has been badly misused.
A phobia is an irrational fear -- if you have arachnophobia and you jump out of a moving fucking car because a tiny house spider walked across your dashboard, or if you have a phobia of water where you haven't water-bathed in years and avoid anything wet. Germophobia where you scrub yourself until you pretty much bleed? Yeah, that is what phobias, actual phobias, do to people.
Transphobia? Islamophobia? Fatphobia? Yeah, they're not actually phobias, like the above. They've become buzzwords to attack people like you and I who recognize danger, feel disgust, or are just plain repulsed by these loons and zealots.

Calling it a phobia is in itself part of a framing attack.
It's supposed to imply that irrational fear is not just your reason, it's the only reason one would object to such things. Everyone who objects to X must be an X-phobe, because all rational people agree that X is perfectly acceptable, outright good even!

The poster missed a few too many historical classes, because in the Russian part of the green the Khanates were tengri then converted to Islam, they never made it that far away, it wasn't even war, the Genghisid dynasties converted, same thing goes with the Bolghars.
Yunnan has also always had a Taoist, Confucian and Buddhist majorities, Vietnam (Champa) as far as I know never had a conquest to speak of. So she gets an F in history.

Actually, people shouldn't directly pay the federal govt anyways.
Taxes should be collected by the state, feds should then be taxing the states instead of individuals.

The issue is that it only helps the really bad states that excessively tax the high income earners. Without it, we can bankrupt NY, IL, and CA and other liberal states. If you want to avoid state taxes: move. I want people to experience the consequences of their own actions.
It also serves as a check that inhibits excessive state spending. It keeps Texas Texas and stops it from having the money to become CA.
