Unpopular (and very theoretical) opinion of mine : one of the biggest reasons there has so much intense animosity between the Abrahamic faiths is because it was intentionally fueled. By whom we'll that's a billion dollar question.
However this theory of mine doesn't mean I excuse any intolerant behaviour in countries like Pakistan and the like.
Ps : Also there is 1400 years of animosity. I am not going to conveniently left it out.

Thats simple we fought because our religions both claim to be the truth and require all men to obey God.
Yes Christians have valid claims against Muslims but the people who were abused by Muslims were Eastern Orthodox fighting against the Turks, also Catholics were attacked by Muslim pirates. Protestants especially southern evangelicals can't claim to have been enslaved however.
