Someone was abusing it. The state of Indiana used to do a cash matching thing for food stamps, but then an unemployed trust fund asshole decided to apply for food stamps and use the money to buy luxury foods. The courts decided Indiana couldn't stop it from being used on luxury foods, so they dropped the entire program.

Probably because people on SNAP and other programs do shit like buy lobster for their dogs. Like people who legit need to be on SNAP are misusing it.
Like, I'm all for helping the poor, but yeah. Misuse of Welfare programs and the corruption in the system is pretty unreal, it even happens in Europe. And these people are why 1) We know Communism/Socialism/Fascism will fail 2) We can't have nice things.

My problem with food stamps and snap and programs like it isn't that it gets abused to buy lobster and steaks. Their adults and they live on a food budget they want to blow it on stupid shit I don't care. They will learn from experience to make better decisions in the long run.
My problem is that its helped create the single mother crisis that makes every other problem in the united states worse. Because the children of single mothers do worse on litterally every metric and make everything fucking worse. Make a rule that if you don't have a ring you don't get a thing.
And while id grumble I'd know that the resulting children would be less likely to go off an murder me because dads there to reign them in and that would be worth it.

You are right about feminism its been pretty god awful from day one.
But a woman going on a hunt for a significant other isn't the problem the problem is that their not sticking around and deciding to take one of the most difficult tasks humanity has. (Raising children) and deciding to do that all on their fucking own which is a really bad idea.
Basically I want to stop the problem by not rewarding bad behavior.

I don't disagree. The problem then becomes how much it costs to audit the system to catch those assholes.
(Just also that the amount of meat in a diet that was staple for the ordinary person wasn't constant meat just cause they were farming. Basic farming in those days, especially the animal husbandry side was very far from what it is today)
I'm of the opinion that chicken and ground beef should still be available. Ultimately.

There's probably video/news reports about it on YT, I've seen a few over the years. My mom, in Ohio, has been on welfare basically since she divorced my dad, and I ate better at her table than I did at my dad's.
The Welfare System is busted, it's modern incarnation is 100% designed to keep you /on/ welfare than to keep you afloat until you can manage something better.
It's wasteful.
Entrapment is a thing, but I'm not blaming marriage declining because men fear entrapment -- I mean, it's a valid fear, especially if the solution for a woman to get benefits is to be married (it'd be used as a tactic).
Marriage is a contract at its core. This contract now favours women to the point where you'd be better off proverbially signing a loan with a loan shark. They can, and often do, "pull the cord" at any time, and they make off like bandits, even at "at fault" situations.
Child custody? Primarily awarded to mothers, even if she's a drugged up street-whore and the ex has a solid job, home, and his life together.
Alimony/spousal support? Yeah, there's a reason why people "joke" that a hitman is a lot cheaper than a divorce.
Hell, even if you cohabitate with a woman now and not marry her, she can still financially destroy you.
MGTOW may decline if all the bullshit, biased laws supporting women (e.g. in the courts, arresting procedures, et cetera) are shit-canned so there is actual equality, but MGTOW isn't going away.
It's a reaction to modern women's natures, and also men have taken it as a life philosophy (working hard, constantly improving yourself, bettering your situation and health, et cetera) to live by.
Unless you can completely change how modern women act (Christ, does this make me sound like some religious fundamentalist prude!), stripping away their sexist senses of entitlement? It's here to stay mainstream.
I honestly think we are going to have massive societial backlash against all of that.
because right now all of the entitlement is litterally killing civilization and if a government has to choose between making you happy or survival your going to have a real bad time.

Honestly, technology is catching up to the point where there is a real possibility that men can reproduce without the need of a woman (You can thank the Alphabet Rainbow brigade for that) so it may get to a point where he and his brother can raise the child and create a viable productive citizen.

Eventually, marriage and even life itself is going to have to be about more than just sex and money. We are going to have to learn to transcend our carnal human natures or we as a species will be condemned both in this life and the next.
I think we are in for a pretty major religous revival with in our life times and a major return to tradition when modernity ends. Every age is pretty much a reaction to the excess's of the previous ones so we can look to the worst of the present to see what will get the backlash.
