That is what overturning a conviction means: declaring a mistrial. That's how those words are used when legal people talk about what happened.
It also means the prosecutor screwed up.

In a perfect world with our legal system a judge is just a referee, the prosecutor provides all the "here's how you done fucked up" evidence, the defense attorney refutes as much of it as they can, and the jury considers the evidence and decides which side is right.

I'm willing to supply arms, and ammo but this is the EU's backdoor and if their not willing to fight for it then neither should we.
yep, fuck em.

I'm fine with providing arms and maybe some logistical support. But the EU thinks it's a super power, they can stand up and fight their own war. This is their back yard. They'll have to eventually, they're just hoping the US will do it for them first.

Sorry, you've got to at least try to defend yourselves first.

What makes this an american war?
Biden reeeeeeally wants a distraction from his domestic disaster. Plus if America had strong leadership Russia wouldn't be so emboldened to move.

I'm firmly of the opinion that it sucks and we should offer support and sanctuary but this is firmly a EU matter and if they don't care... that's their business I suppose.

They want to claim to be a world power, they can damn well stand up to a country with a economy the size of Texas without America holding their hand.

Ukraine is American vassals and USA has been pressuring both sides for four months to start fighting.

Ukraine is not an American vasssal. If it was, we'd be fighting to keep the Russians out.

It is true that certain political elements in America want a distraction from their disastrous domestic politics, but claiming that makes this an 'American war' is so preposterous it makes me wonder if you're high.

It's one European nation (Russia) invading another European nation (Ukraine), that they have a history of conflict with, which go back to before WWII, when American foreign policy still leaned heavily isolationist.

This comes from NATO pushing ever closer to Russia
Putin said stop trying to make Ukraine part of NATO and I will leave it alone, continue and I will conquer it.
USA just laughed at him and continued to push. Now Putin is doing what he promised.

USA has a long history of betraying its vassals the moment a democrat gets elected.

Trump actually did stop, but then Biden went ahead with the same bullshit. And condemned Ukraine to death over their arrogance.

Funny thing is, I have been seeing some data that apparently most Ukranians didn't even want to join NATO. It was pretty much forced on them.
