I routinely hear radio ads, and have for as long as I remember (I just heard two) from those trying sell expensive shiny shit to convince men that they should spend obscene amounts of money on jewelry because their girlfriends/fiancées/wives deserve it and that women should insist upon such things.
The most senior of my twelve sisters wore a dirty dress she pulled out of a laundry basket when she and her husband went shopping for their wedding rings.
My wife handed me one of those cheap plastic rings kids could get for a quarter out of a grocery store vending machine when we were kids and said "I want this." My wife has said that she'd divorce me if I were to ever buy her jewelry.
It's the person, not the money, that actually matters.

Honestly, I'm starting to think I never should have stopped listening to Alex; the man might sound crazy, but he's been right a disturbing number of times.

It's surreal to me how hard they push being what people call a Thot now a days or what we used to call Gold Diggers.
Him and Jesse Lee Peterson do this thing where about 60-75 percent of what comes out of their mouths is crap but boy you better watch out for that 40/25 because it's often going to seem like prophecy in hindsight.
I call it the Nostradamus style of using outrageous prevarication to conceal prognostication and social critique

No, Alex is someone you ought to take in small amounts and with full awareness. As Immortal pointed out he plays from the Nostradamus playbook frequently and plumbing the depths of every major conspiracy for a living has clearly been bad for his mental health. But inevitably he digs up more than a little truth alongside all the interdimensional space rapists and its always alarming when it happens.
And the escalation continues.
I think the difference with Alex Jones vs other crazy people is Alex Jones has always as far as I'm aware done in person on the ground reporting. I remember pictures of Alex Jones back in the 90s I think going directly to Waco to see that place first hand. And I've seen interviews with Infowars Journalists, and they seem to be actual journalists who go out and walk the beat and do real research, instead of just regeritating the AP or Government statements.
So, in any sistuation where the Government reports or AP are not an accurate representation of something, the fact that InfoWars does real independent reporting gives them access to more truth than any "reporters" who are doing nothing but repeting official press reports. This is of course combined with an assumption that the Press and Government are evil liars basically all the time, which means you need to do deep searching to uncover what the real, hidden truth is, and unlike some guy in his basement, Jones has the skills and inclination to actually go out and do actual digging and see what's really going on somewhere, instead of just basically guessing.

Because people who govern are almost always retarded. So there's always going to be buildings betting blown the fuck up because people missed something either on purpose or because lelstupid and cities are always going to experience plague and there is always going to be some ultra charismatic asshole that plunges us into calamity.
And that's what should piss you off the most about Nostradamus. That the byproducts of stupidity he passive aggressively pointed out half a millennium ago are such universal byproducs of stupidity that we are seeing current and future events in them.
It's infuriating to me, deeply so because it points to large tracks of our species learning at a pace even a snail would get frustrated with.
And Academia being so self absorbed they can't see it.
