Amidst all the other COVID bill shenanigans, the agricultural aspects aren't getting much notice. One billion dollars has been put aside for farmers for debt relief, subsidies, training, and the like and can pay 120% of debt owed by a farmer, a really big payout that can save a sinking farm. But... the funds are only available to farmers who are "socially disadvantaged, e.g., Black, Hispanic, Native American or Asian American."

I think it's pretty safe to say that the American government has become racist against Caucasians. It's an interesting, if disgusting, dynamic change compared to the 19th and early/mid 20th century where the opposite was true.

I think it's pretty safe to say that the American government has become racist against Caucasians. It's an interesting, if disgusting, dynamic change compared to the 19th and early/mid 20th century where the opposite was true.

When you have different groups in the same society, one or more groups will always be discriminated against. That is just human nature. If you have multiracial society, you will have racism, no way around it.

I'm curious how this blatantly racist provision passes Constitutional muster. Incidentally, I'm actually benefiting from this crap, but I still think it's pretty damn racist.

The Problem is that the services lower standards for them to join and remain. Rarely if ever enforce discipline. As a result the guys got to pick up the slack.

They are still figuring it out. They may make a diffrence, may not. COVID did not help

Recently the AF relaxed hair regulations, but only for women. Couldn't help but laugh at that. I was slightly disappointed with the positive reaction from some of the women I went through AFROTC with, though, which pretty much came down to complaints about how hard the regs were on their hair. Naturally, they had nothing to say in response to me reminding them than they, at least, got to have hair, and a lot more options when it came to styling it however they liked than I ever did. I actually kind of feel like the regs should have gone the other direction, but then I don't mind the GI Jane look.

Talked to a former USAF pilot who ended up on a wheelchair over one such quota idiot. Failed theoretical part of training but still given a pass due to female quota, then crashed the plane with him as the instructor, in a way that was too idiotic for him to predict.
