FBI Funds “White Supremacist” Publisher to Entrap

The FBI allegedly paid a publisher of white supremacist literature more than $144,000 over 16-plus years to serve as a confidential informant, according to recent filings in an ongoing domestic extremism case.

Basically, the FBI gets a guy arrested with a crime and drops charges so that he’ll create a fake “white supremacist” organization to entrap right wingers. Apparently the number one threat to America is white supremacy and yet the FBI has to create and fund a group and encourage crime they can arrest people for.

So I was looking up this Atomwaffen Division Neo-Nazi group. They seem particularly nasty. Their leader has an unusual history. He was arrested back in 1988 for child pornography, getting off with just a $500 fine and a suspended sentence. Sounds kinda light for me, especially for a guy who already had far right ties who the FBI would want to throw the book at. I bet this is when they gave him the deal to turn glowie for them and I wouldn’t be surprised if the extremism of the group is in large part because of the FBI’s control.
