Election 2020 Election Fraud: Let's face it, this year will be a shitshow

Voter ID laws aren't meant to prevent voter fraud. They're meant to make it harder for someone eligible to vote to actually vote.

My state had a PSA saying 19 checks were done before you could vote. This was the background music:

Kinda tone deaf there but the message came through loud and clear: "we'll stop you from voting if we can"

How is having a ID making it harder for people to vote?

I never got it. Take a random dirt farmer in the middle of bum fuck nowhere in the Thar desert and their entire family will have ration cards, birth certificates, land deeds and voter ids. How retarded or retardedly evil do they think people are?

Like the entire world knows the 'West' is just a bunch of fuckups coasting off of their once competent dead now but really?

I am talking about GAs..
I don't know what Georgia's voter ID laws are like but it really shouldn't take much more than your voter registration card so that the people running the polls know that you're in the right place and aren't trying to vote twice and you shouldn't need to jump through unnecessary hoops when registering to vote or getting ID.

When I went to renew my driver's licence last fall my birth certificate wasn't accepted by the BMV. I had to resort to using my Passport just to renew my driver's licence.

In GA as long as you have something showing you are you....and a resident of the state.
They also require signature and ID with Absentee ballots

Voter ID laws aren't meant to prevent voter fraud.

Photo ID is required to:

1. Get a job.
2. Buy or rent a home.
3. Open a bank account (basically use money at all in the modern economy.)
4. Get a gun.

Photo ID is a more than reasonable requirement for voting. It's already a requirement for everyday living. If what states don't already have it, need to implement a form of photo ID that does not require a fee to get, then fine.

The idea that it's intended to deter legal voting is pure propaganda. Yes, if you let someone sufficiently nasty write the details of the law, that could cause problems, but lack of voting security is already nullifying people's votes by letting fraudulent votes into the system.

That's reasonable.

When I was in college I wasn't asked for ID when I registered to vote. When I showed up to vote for Bob Dole in '96 the poll worker barely looked at my voter registration card while making sure my name was on the list and hadn't already been checked off as "yup, they've voted".

More shady shenanigans probably took place during that election than the last one and I don't recall any accusations that the election wasn't on the up-and-up.

Most states are trying to do what I mentioned and are getting called racist.

I highly doubt that election was as bad as this one...

My family has been getting more involved in local Republican politics lately and at the recent online meeting of our branch of the party the topic naturally went to the topic of voter fraud. Apparently in our county 106 percent of eligible voters are registered to vote. And this is a low number compared to some neighboring counties.

I guess that explains why my state is run by Democrats.

That roll of voters includes people who have moved away or who have died but haven't been removed from the rolls yet. Those people almost certainly aren't going to vote in your county and the "excess" is almost certainly just a matter of the delay between reality and the bookeeping.

As far as I can tell that is indeed where the excess voters come from. But if you know who those people are then you can send in people to vote in their place. And since the Democrats try and stop every effort that would make it harder to get away with that kind of fraud or to purge the voter rolls of missing/dead people it is reasonable to assume that they are cheating.

You're seeing a conspiracy where there is none. Vote fraud in the US mostly consists of people accidently voting at the wrong polling place. It does not consist of hordes of people coming in to vote in places where they're not eligible to vote.

The Democrats have been engaging in voter fraud for decades. This is hardly new. And after all the late night ballot dumps and other shenanigans in November you're never going to convince me that something isn't rotten in our election system.

The rotteness has nothing to do with the people who actually show up and vote. Democrat or Republican (I'm a Democrat BTW) you'll get to vote.

Your vote actually getting counted correctly is an entirely different story.

...Yeah, I'm sorry, but if you don't believe some sort of fraud occurred at this point, then you're just a fucking idiot on par with a Flat Earther. Yes, I'm including members of our own site in this.

There's no doubt that the Democrats essentially cheated enough to swing the Election. There is no doubt that corruption is being used to stop the very processes set-up to investigate said 'potential' fraud.

If they get away with rigging this Election, they'll get away with rigging the others.

1984 was meant to be a fucking satire/warning, not a prophecy.
