The ransomware attack growth on companies that produce food is IMHO inevitable since those are some of the businesses that do best in high inflation environments.
The plane crashes and the fires, on the other hand, are a hell of a lot more suspicious.
Fires might have something to do with the whole epic drought going on at the moment, or with leftard terrorists and the declining quality of the workforce.
But plane crashes?
What, did they implement affirmative action or something?
It is not impossible that some of this is retaliation for some G7/Collective West actions as of late, China de facto ordered its population to stockpile food since last year, and they have outright told the Russians that they are willing to buy most of what they are selling if they have trouble finding export markets.
And if there is one thing guaranteed to fuck over the western Euros and drive inflation even further it is further jumps in food prices coupled with a massive refugee wave from the Middle East and Africa.

According to some pilots I talked to, several airlines do that, if you are female or/and minority then the standards are lower, it is yet to have serious consequences.
Also, don't forget that airlines have been hit by massive damage because of stuff like mandates and decline of sales, probably bottlenecks where spare parts and maintenance are concerned, too.
And the purely freight-focused ones were probably under more stress to deliver more stuff because of tight supply chains.

I laughed b/c there is absolutely no way to enforce any such rulings...besides...what court has jurisdiction to enforce it that the Senate holds oversight for?

How are yours doing?
Gold up, silver up, fertilizers up, my stuff is trading at levels that are higher than I bought it.
If consumer staples and dividend aristocrat ETFs dip I might buy them, too, although that fuckface J.Powell has as much direction as a frigging decapitated chicken on coke.

I wish I knew how to do it. Everytime I try I hit a roadblock because it won't let me go further with the stock app.

Um, get a decent, low cost broker.
I use Saxo bank, but if you are Murikan you have a lot more options.
Read a bit more on stock trading, I recommend The Intelligent Investor as a starting point, other decent books you can read up on are listed in the Alternate Investing thread on here.
Usually there are demo accounts and the like that you can use.
Do not rush in, do not get pissed about losing an opportunity, read up on stocks, etfs and bonds before you go in the market, play some with a demo account with virtual money and learn what type of investor you are.
Most importantly though, stay the fuck away from crap like "social trading" and scummy apps with gamification.
Investing must be boring if you are doing it the way Graham described.
Read the latest revision of the book I mentioned, maybe a few times, find what type of investor you want to be, and don't let the media or gurus deter you from your goals and preferences.
Basically the best Value Investors, IMHO are asocial nerds that do not let a leming mindset or mindless chatter deter them.
I'd read up on Buffet and Mike Burry if I were you, the big short, the book, not the movie, is a good place to start.
