Water - great if you have the right location and permits.
Wind - even less predictable than solar, greens thought of it too, doesn't work too well if you want reliable power, in the grid absolutely need gas/diesel backups.

The batteries are your buffer. We aren't talking about grids. We're talking about 13kW loads at the absolute most. Likely closer to 1 - 2kW.

Seriously, it's like you context switch halfway through a conversation of something.

Tle reliability of power is going to be provided by battery. The shortcomings of solar can be mitigated with a variety power sources. Also including fuel generators or grid tie in. All of it is of use in creating a system that lets you use electricity for extended periods without the grid.

And you're not getting that during a winter even in temperate or equivalent climate, nevermind enough to run that during the day *and* charge batteries for a night in any reasonably sized and priced setup.

Which again returns the return on investment questions i mentioned earlier. If you are going to need other power sources anyway... as far as emergencies go may as well stick to the other ones.

Worse, it's pure red ideology. How does paying welfare and expensive hotel stay for millions of "boat people" migrants help pay boomer's pensions? You think they will ever pay enough taxes to pay all that off and beyond? Could have just invested the money and skipped all the drama involved. Or at least make a show of deporting criminals and welfare leeches to calm public sentiment, it's not like those pay taxes at all.
If it was purely about money, then the parties involved would be fine going with a very... pragmatic yet harsh immigration system focused on economic potential, think something between Singapore and pre-woke USA. But no one in the West is doing that.
Instead it's all obviously covered in woke virtue signalling that apparently guides the thought, rules and logic behind it.
