According to Steam the game's going to launch at about 6 my time..... Why can't they have a morning release like sensible people.

They are, just centered on Poland. Instead of doing the BS where it's a staggered release so those in Australia get it first, their doing it simultaneously.
Heard there's a lot of bugs on launch, considering just picking it up in a few months when everything is more stable
I mean, there's the day one patch which hasn't been seen by reviewers yet. So wait a few days to see if you want to wait awhile. Otherwise you'll hit spoilers.

So, there's some trans controversy apparently, again? Anyone heard what that was about?

Cyberpunk 2077 Causes Epileptic Seizure in Reviewer - Niche Gamer

As in a certain sequence in the game caused a reviewer for Game Informer to suffer an epileptic seizure, this wasn't a case of a games journalist spazzing out over the existence of Cyberpunk 2077 as being problematic or some shit, like a Polygon article.
Shit, that's not great, though it's good she listed off problem areas so folks can be prepared for them
Given it's a cyberpunk game with all the neon lights and stuff that implies.... I'm not surprised someone had it happen to them.

Isn't there a similar problem with shooters and the like, with repeated muzzle flashes causing the same thing?

She noted the general ones yeah but they range from usually fine to specifically bad, like that porygon from the Pokémon cartoon

Putting a mask over the characters vision with flashing lights sounds like the really bad part

Anyways besides the real and emotional seizures this game is triggering in games journalists, heres a more positive interview with the original creator Mike Pondsmith on the scale of the game.

Also apparently if you buy it off Gog.com CD Project Red gets almost all of the profit... So there's that to consider if you wanna consider it before downloading that 43 gig day one patch as you purchase the game.

Seizures? I tried playing the original DOOM recently and they had this one part where the lights kept turning on and off real quick

I’m guessing with 3D than just pixels, it’s so much worse on the eyes

I've heard whining about it from the usual "games journalists" and the like, but not from anyone worth listening to, nor from the general public.

Maybe one of the things they're be patching in the "hey, this might trigger an epileptic seizure" warning games like that are supposed to have.

So if I want to get Cyperpunk running I'm going to have to fork over 200$ as they decided not to support Win8 (but support 7...).

Which also means I would have to infect my PC with malware(Win10) as well.....

So much for waiting on this game.

Windows 10 has malware? The US military outside of Cybercommand uses it for everything. Cyberuses it and Lynux
