Huh, that's a new twist. I don't think I've heard of any bombers doing that before, as opposed to calling it in to law enforcement and/or the media.

So the bomber was competent enough to build a large, functional bomb and probably looking to avoid excessive deaths.

Considering the supposed gunshots reported just before the explosion this looks like it might be a suicide with a side order of fuck-you aimed at one of the nearby offices. The bomb was placed next to an AT&T building from what I've been reading (who have since been suffering service outages) so they would be the obvious target.

I saw this at WMAL...I am not at all sure the choice was random.

It's the rural equivalent to cocaine and is freaking everywhere. The police in my small city spend most of their time fighting either meth or human trafficking from the border. It keeps them busy enough that they rarely give out traffic tickets outside a wreck.
