It is difficult, as the concept of gender identity is obscurantistically phrased and redefined at any time to ensure maximum recruits. I've got this essay planned to explain how they're subjugating the autism spectrum. Allegedly "gender is a social construct" yet it's treated like a fundamental aspect of your being. Extremely regressive conceptions are made of femininity. They don't solve gender dysphoria like it's a mental condition. Mental conditions are caused or at least worsened by dyscrasia and the field of medicine treats them by advising an improved lifestyle, and the insertion of certain chemicals. I don't agree with modern society's overbearingly allopathic approach, but the distance between how, "ADHD", "depression" and "anxiety" are handled compared to gender dysphoria makes it all the more strange and disturbing when the advocated treatment is ritualistic compliance with gender expectations, and ritualistic bodily modification. How is further upsetting eucrasia and being anal about what is/isn't gendered supposed to make someone feel better? Right wing individuals keep saying, "well actually it's a mental illness" but mental illnesses don't have memetic vectors of transmission. It's a non-copyrighted version of dianetics, "buying our *%#/ is the only cure to your existential pain"!
Okay, refocusing on "how is this a spiritual belief". Okay, so you've got this ~thing~ and the ~thing~ is immaterial, yet fundamental and sacred no matter how poorly defined. The physical world is a prison for your true gender. Solution: give up your old self and join the transgender nation! How is this not a conception of the soul?
