Colorado Supreme Court Upholds Law Banning Magazines Greater Than 15 Rounds

The Colorado Supreme Court upheld a law Monday that banned the possession of gun magazines capable of holding more than 15 rounds of ammunition.

Of course my first reaction, surely like many people in this state, was just:

But the rest of the article revealed some good details:

“First, the Colorado Supreme Court overturned an older ruling that would have nullified the Colorado Constitution’s right to keep and bear arms. Second, they protected virtually all removable base plate magazines, which could have criminalized hundreds of thousands of gun owners,” Executive Director of the RMGO Dudley Brown said in a Monday press release.

In other words, carry on, but exercise some discretion.

This is unfortunately not surprising. I expect this case may get pushed up to SCOTUS.
