Do not mess with cygnets. Their parents are mean, territorial, very protective, and don't take shit from apex predators several times their size (i.e.: us).

Dude you have a lot to learn about things. If you think people have not killed Swans and Geese and in the recent past. Then I have a bridge in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean to sell you. I know they have.

The maintenance guy at a past workplace of mine really did not want gameskeepers saying "hi" because there was a decent chance of him putting something in the bed of his pickup truck gamekeepers would be very displeased to see that was going to wind up on a dinner table so it doesn't go to waste he somehow found on the way to work.

Note: Most of the time it was a deer he didn't shoot or hit with a car.

An important point that everyone seems to ignore is that China is a civilization in the same way that "The West" since the dawn of Mesopotamia is a civilization. It's not a single people group or culture passing through time, it's various groups slaughtering one another, wiping all their accomlishments from the face of history as best they can and then rebuilding on the ashes, over and over again. Most dynastic changes in Chinese history were also changes in the dominant ethnic group in the country. In the last few dynasties, they were so petty that they forced everyone to change hair styles to try to crush the local culture.

So, honestly, a lot of this stuff about how ancient, continuous and cohesive Chinese history is is just bull shit.
