Why would French have to do anything about Haiti? Both countries are very clear on not wanting to have anything to do with each other for the last 200 years.
Kenyans noped the fuck out of there, this situation is too messed up for them and they are bordering Somalia, Ethiopia and Uganda.

They apparently are physically incapable of returning the remains because they don't know where they are? I haven't investigated much, wikipedia claims (uncited) that France apparently returned a shovelful of dirt from the Fort where he died in prison as a symbolic thing and presumably that's because they don't know where the body is. A random internet-goer claiming to translate old French documents I saw claims the remains were tossed into a cave that was used for prisoners and soldiers and not marked, and then *that* was dug up and discarded in renovation-work in the late 1800s...No idea how reliable that is, though.

But, then, considering the number of British, French, Spaniards, slaves and indians dead just through 1802, the island's curse probably had enough fuel to get going without Louverture's spirit adding any haunted bonus points.

And now we've got gang-leader/warlord Barbecue.
 
If we go into situation as usual Latin America will decry us as being piggish imperialist and Africans and African Americans will call us racist, just let the country sort out its own problems and ensure China and Russia don't decide to put a military presence there.

Haiti will never be able to stand on its own if it doesn't learn the mistakes of its own leadership choosing skill and suffer their consequences.

Missouri Congressional Representative Ben Baker lost his Daughter and Son-in-Law who were serving in Haiti as missionaries. They were apparently killed by one of the gangs dominating the area.

The Duvaliers were themselves a horrible mistake, massively corrupt black ultranationalists with a penchant for torture & voodoo blood sacrifices. For that matter the entire history of Haiti itself is arguably a horrible mistake, including colonial times where as Sainte-Domingue it infamously had the worst kind of slavery out of all the European Caribbean colonies and killed like 10% of the slaves annually, and 30-50% within a few years (thereby necessitating the constant importation of a stream of new slaves from Africa to work to death) according to French sources like Benjamin-Sigismond Frossard & Gabriel Debien. So it's not much of a surprise that the survivors harbored genocidal hatred for their oppressors and decided it would be a good idea to make a deal with Satan to try to get out from under their boot, even if it doomed their descendants to perpetual failure & misery when the Devil inevitably came to collect.

The absolute state of Haiti is such that even genocide isn't a solution to its problems, and we know that because they literally did it already and it ended up making things even worse for them. In many ways it's actually the ultimate intersectional deconstructionist and 'decolonization' experiment:

Makes me laugh when leftoids online bitch about the French crippling them (even more, mind you, well before the Bourbon Restoration gunboats showed up Dessalines - the chief genocidaire - literally brought back slavery in all but name himself to make money on his half of Haiti after the south seceded in a civil war) with that indemnity payment and call for reparations, here I thought punishing genocidaires was a good thing and the French were ultimately just getting their reparations for the genocide.

I won't claim to know the solution to Haiti's problems, other than that it probably isn't yet more genocide because again, they've tried that already and it didn't work. It's also certainly not anything the left would propose, because as the above list indicates, Haiti turning into a leftist wishlist long before most of today's deconstructionist ideologues even left their biodaddy's ballsack has contributed to or outright created all their modern problems. But whatever it is, they've got a long fucking way to go to get there and probably enough people will die for the process to count as a genocide anyway.
