California just saw its first plague case in 5 years.

California can't seem to catch a break. Guy got bitten by a flea while walking his dog?

Well, they did that to themselves. It is awful, but what can you expect when you neglect your state like that, let needles, feces, and the like get strewn everywhere. Let people sleep in the street and so on. Of course there already was plague in the states, and this might of happened anyways, so California is in part blameless to the extent that this might have happened anyways... But it might have not happened if they cleaned their house so to speak.

Truly a humanitarian disaster.

How nice.

Still, could be worse. Bubonic plague is kinda weak nowadays with our modern medicine and we have gotten pretty good at stopping the fleas that carry it.

Personally I am more worried about this lockdown resulting in tuberculosis coming back. And with the misuse and overuse of antibiotics, having the TB bacteria develop a resistance to antibiotics is a real concern.
