If convicted, he could get 100 years in prison, and it would be in a Texas prison to boot.
 
If he knew there was dogdiness from testing it, and purposely hid it, a hell of a lot. Alternatively, if he was told there was dodginess, and how to hide it, also a hell of a lot.
Based on what the article said, he lied to FAA regulators and airlines about the MCAS system, the system which malfunctioned and nose-dived those planes due to faulty inputs.
 


Apparently the 777 and 787 are not safe either, as testified to by an engineer whose job it was to spot quality issues. He let them know about issues he spotted and the retaliated against by his superiors for bringing these issues up.
