I learned about an apartment complex in San Francisco creating a "safe space" for colored people.
I'm from Mississippi, I know what that is.
Separate but equal doesn't work.
And those leaders of these liberal oasises live in red lined neighborhoods.
We're being pulled apart, and if you say something supportive it's taken to extremes.
Do black lives matter?
Absolutely they do.
Using history to make people accept defacto Segregation is dangerous.
We could never truly officially be allowed to get along, and yet ironically here we do.
There are many examples of this within our own government.
For some reason the United States blindly supports Israel.
You say anything about the occupation and the Nakba, somehow that's anti-Semitic. But the Palestinians are Semitic.
Besides I don't think anyone should be forcefully evicted.
The only solution is pretty simple, one state. Unite the two into a federal system, and the new country can even keep the Golan Heights provided of course it's a place for the right of return for Palestinians.
Are the walls around Bethlehem really that different than the ones around the Warsaw Getto?
In America we are facing extremely dangerous times.
Our politicians on both sides of the aisle allowed for privately owned prisons complete with a lobby in Congress, they ignored our infrastructure, economy.
And when it gets really bad, they start a war.
Anyone who remembers the 80s knows who Regan invited to the White House.
Hint he was eating humus with his fingers in a cave when 9-11 happened and is "respondsable" for it.
30 trillions dollars later.
Afghanistan now calls itself the Home of the Brave.
Does either side of the aisle have an isolationist policy, nope.
Now they're hell bent on provoking a war with China.
Over Taiwan.
The thing is in the 1970s the United States agreed, China is China and recognized Taiwan as Chinese.
It's already been settled.
But. Tell that to our government.
Puerto Rico called. Yeah they wanna know why they're still a colony.
But let's not worry about that.
We have tent cities, millions of Americans can't get clean drinking water, but hey we can donate money to a more "unfortunate" country.
Including paying a tribute to Israel that lets them build more settlements in the west bank.
Our front running politicians remind me of the USSR near its end.
What's to be done about it.
We have to wake up that's what.
Realize that if we ourselves believe the ideals of this country, which it kinda never really fulfilled, we have to do it ourselves.
The racial divides haven't healed because Washington knows keeping it simmering allows for a flip switch when needed.
But what about that?
Consider those black lives matter protest.
You really think people would burn down their own communities.
Do you really think politicians living in redlined segregated neighborhoods, actually care?
Were at a crossroads.
The only way is to be the vanguard of your own freedom.
