Even if they can't make counterarguments, as far as they are concerned, they are correct. Or simply put they avoid the debate's actual points, go around them and accuse and say that you said something else.

Honestly, I think it's more like Far-Lefties need to experience the effects of their voted-for-policies and/or have to deal with knowing how it is firsthand to be subject to "Tolerant" PC Culture

In my experience radical leftists will ignore ANYTHING that goes against what they believe. It's all made up, or the research was biased, or that group isn't valid, or so on and so forth.
The only thing I've ever seen make them change was personal experience with the consequences of what they support.
And it has to be personal, if it happens to people close to them, friends or family, it's the friends and family who got tricked into believing the filthy lies.
It's bad enough now that if someone actually changes, it can ruin friendships and destroy families.
Just... radicalization is really bad. Regardless of what is radicalizing.

Though, it maybe because they actually want something to devote themselves to, but in the first place barely have much emphasis on morals and principals
Also, they vilified the sort of Objectivist and Libertarian Atheists, I think

Alright, though I think it's still a VERY slow awakening given that you have Lefties in the West voting for Trump.
I honestly think some of them found that the "Right-Wingers" were nicer than Hollywood and the Media depicted and shared more positive values than first thought
That said, maybe having close run ins with ANTIFA will get them to hesitate
