Specifically on the SJW side, we have creators and fans who were around before SJWism went into full force in the 2010’s who defend whatever the creators do
Citing realism and calling opposition Nazi’s, saying SJW’s don’t exist and we’re just paranoid about a “good” thing etc

I blame Western Entertainment or Hollywood repeatedly likening Post-Cold War America and being Right Wing with Fascism
They don’t look to have much knowledge about how Fascism ACTUALLY operated or what policies there were beyond being Nationalistic, which to them means being Xenophobic and Bigoted
They even conflate free market capitalism with it
Also, wasn’t WH40K made during Margaret Thatcher’s era? Like it and 2000 AD’s Judge Dredd were supposed to poke fun or criticise it somehow

What’s the problem involvkng last names
boys get chosen because they are culturally and some times legally expected to take care of their parents in their old age. Women do not have that expectation and when they marry they enter the husbands family. From the parents point of view a boy is an investment and future retirement plan, a girl is an fincial liability.
The best way to correct this problem is to make girls also finically responsible for their parents in their old age.

Yeah, kinda sad that much of those kids in China won’t even reach the top, much less a middle class job
High levels of competition and not enough middle to upper class jobs could probably lead to things like factory workers with loads of debt and diplomas and PHD’s wondering why they even bothered or blaming themselves for “not working hard enough”
Going back to the topic on hand, I guess aside from 40KLore it’s safe to say most subreddits and scifi fantasy forums have been taken over

I can remember browsing it in the interests of morbid curiosity to see that one of their members posted an idea for a "good version" of the Dark Eldar which boiled down to "the exact same as in canon, but they only do what they do to privileged members of Imperial society".
