The Obama family had been transported to the IL Executive Mansion (Governor Quinn personally invited them to spend the night there); over at the IL Statehouse Grounds, Arrival Honors were rendered as "Hail to the Chief" & "Illinois" were performed by the Northern Illinois University Huskie Marching Band. Soon afterwards, the flag-draped casket was marched inside the IL Statehouse, where it laid in repose for the remainder of the night at the Statehouse Rotunda.

During the final public viewing inside the IL Statehouse Rotunda, an estimated 6,000 paid their respects to the late 47th President. Among those mourners in attendance: IL Governor Patrick Quinn (D), Springfield, IL Mayor J. Michael Houston, Springfield PD Police Chief Kenny Winslow, Sangamon County Sheriff Neil Williamson (R) & IL Secretary of State Jesse White (D) were the first ones to pay their respects; Winslow & Williamson both saluted the flag-draped casket respectively.
Soon afterwards, multiple mourners arrived to pay their respects including IL GOP Gubernatorial nominee Bruce Rauner (R) & his wife, Diana. Others included United States Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL) & Mark Kirk (R-IL), former United States Senators Carol Mosley Braun (D-IL) & Roland Burris (D-IL); former IL Governors James R. "Big Jim" Thompson (R), Jim Edgar (R), George Ryan (R) along with former Chicago, IL Mayor Richard M. Daley (D), Chicago Bulls legend & NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan, TV Personality Oprah Winfrey & many others.

President Obama's flag-draped casket brought into the Prairie Capital Convention Center for the start of funeral services on Tuesday, May 6th, 2014.
It was the final funeral service for the late President Obama as an estimated 7,600 filled the seats inside the Prairie Capital Convention Center in Springfield, IL; members of the Obama family were seated first along with several dignitaries: President Joseph Biden, Jr., First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, former US Education Secretary James B. Hunt, Jr., Chicago, IL Mayor Rahm Emanuel (D), US Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx, former US Labor Secretary Hilda Solis & countless others.
Eulogies were delivered by former US Education Secretary James B. Hunt, Jr., IL Governor Patrick Quinn (D), Chicago, IL Mayor Rahm Emanuel (D), US Rep. Robin Kelly (D-IL), United States Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) & Maya Soetoro-Ng; the service was officiated by Bishop Charles E. Blake, Senior Pastor of West Angeles Church of God in Christ of Los Angeles, CA. During the services, musical selections included Ron Isley ("His Eyes Are On the Sparrow"), 2002 "American Idol" 4th Place Finalist Tamyra Gray ("Amazing Grace") & Faith Hill ("The Lord's Prayer").
Following the funeral services, the Joint Services Honor Guard carried the flag-draped casket out of the Prairie Capital Convention Center, where the Northern Illinois University Huskie Marching Band performed "Hail to the Chief". TV cameras showed several members of the Obama family shedding tears uncontrollably, even as the flag-draped casket was placed inside the hearse. Soon afterwards, the funeral procession began towards the final destination: Oak Ridge Cemetery. Lots of local, national & international TV stations broadcast the services (even live-streamed on social media: YouTube, Facebook, etc.,) without commercial interruption. Alongside the streets of Springfield, thousands of people were lined up the streets taking pictures & selfies including filming with cell phone cameras as the procession passed them by....

Over at the Oak Ridge Cemetery, it was very quiet as members of the IL Army National Guard, US Marine Corps Salute Battery Unit, IL Air National Guard Marching Band, etc., were standing at attention extremely ready as TV cameras from NBC News, CBS News, ABC News, MSNBC, CNBC, HLN, Fox News, Fox Business, C-SPAN, ABS-CBN, GMA Network, TV5, PTV (Philippines), 24 France (France), BBC (United Kingdom), Taiwan Public Television Service (Taiwan), NHK (Japan), Arirang TV, MBC News, JTBC (Korea), Voice of Vietnam (Vietnam), Televisa (Mexico), GLOBO TV (Brazil) & countless others also airing the services as well.
The IL Air National Guard Marching Band performed "Hail to the Chief" for the final time as the flag-draped casket was taken out of the hearse; "Amazing Grace" was then performed as the Joint Services Honor Guard carried the flag-draped casket of the late 47th President over to his final resting place, followed by members of the Obama family, President & First Lady Biden, former US Education Secretary James B. Hunt, Jr., former Obama Cabinet officials & many other dignitaries.
During the Rite of Committal, Bishop Charles E. Blake, Senior Pastor of the West Angeles Church of God in Christ of Los Angeles, CA., delivered the final rites. Soon afterwards, the US Marine Corps Artillery Battery Unit fired the final 21 Cannon Salute for the late President Obama for the last time (the Cannons were fired so loudly, several of the TV news journalists/reporters, who were covering the graveside services, began to have some problems hearing). Following the Cannon Salute, the IL Air National Guard flew 47 fighter jets over the graveside, which included the "Missing Man Formation" flyover; the performance of "Taps" was also shown, which was then followed by the folding of the colors by the Joint Services Honor Guard, who then handed the folded American flag to President Biden, who was in attendance, walked towards the Obama family & presented former First Lady Michelle Obama the flag which had covered Barry's casket. Immediately after accepting the flag, Mrs. Obama walked up to the casket, kissed it mouthing the words "I love you Barry. I miss you so much, I miss you..." where she finally broke down before the entire world to see as she was gripping the folded American flag with her left hand, both of her daughters, Sasha & Malia including Michelle's mother, Marian Robinson & other members of the Obama family immediately came to console her.
Walking away with her escort, US Navy Admiral Harry K. Harris, Jr., Commander of the US Pacific Fleet, Michelle was still clutching the folded American flag. The IL Air National Guard Marching Band then performed "My Faith Looks Up to Thee" as the Obama family, former Obama Cabinet Secretaries & administration officials & countless others said their goodbyes. Many had an opportunity to file past the casket. President Joe Biden saluted the casket before leaving with his wife, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden....
Obama's casket was lowered into the vault (which had the Presidential Seal on it) & sealed shut at 8:00 PM CST, then lowered into the tomb.

During the past few days, the Biden's personal belongings & effects were brought into the White House (while the Obama's belongings & effects were being taken out during the State Funeral festivities on that Monday), President Joseph R. Biden, Jr., & his wife, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden officially moved into the White House on that Monday night.
Fast forward to Wednesday morning, it was a quiet day inside the Oval Office as President Biden walked inside alone (which was eerily quiet), he had realized that he ascended to the Presidency under horrific circumstances (Andrew Johnson: 1865, Chester A. Arthur: 1881, Theodore Roosevelt: 1901, Lyndon Baines Johnson: 1963, Nelson Rockefeller: 1975 & now himself: 2014), making him the sixth person to ascend to the Presidency under horrific & traumatic turmoil. Biden was working inside the Oval Office when a knock on the door from one of the female confidential secretaries calmly informed him: "Mr. President, Defense Secretary Hagel is here with General Dempsey (reference to US Army General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff) to see you." President Biden calmly responded, "Send them in. Thank you."

It was Saturday night & the US House of Representatives chambers was packed as everyone was seated, anticipating what the 48th President of the United States was going to say before a Joint Session of Congress. US House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) called the House of Representatives to order while United States Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT), who served as President Pro Tempore of the United States Senate, called the Senate to order. By this time, everyone was waiting & some were waiting in the back-row seats waiting for an autograph from the President. In came the House Sergeant-at-Arms, who yelled aloud these words: "Mr. Speaker, the President of the United States!"
[Large round of applause from the crowd inside as President Biden walked inside the US House of Representatives chambers shaking hands, hugging folks].
As the turbulent days that followed April 28th drew to a close, President Biden appeared before a Joint Session of Congress, where during the speech, it was interrupted several times when he brought up key specific points on what his administrations plans on doing. In his 37-minute speech, the 48th President thanked lawmakers of both political parties for their supports, words of encouragement over the past 12 days since he took office. Once again, President Biden urged the calls of continuity & national unity. But his speech was more than phrases, he emphasized to continue the Obama administration's Pivot to Asia initiative & would also pursue strong, clear military force strategies (unlike Obama had done); using military action in the South China Sea to push back against PRC from intimidating countries in the Pacific; new action on energy in making the United States less dependent on foreign oil, new strong, broader voting rights initiatives & reforming existing entitlement programs. He also repeated the call for a so-called Rainy Day Fund: which would require the federal government to spend at least a quarter of surplus to paying down the national debt. This was a suggestion the late President Obama had made in his fifth & final SOTU Address back in January.

Roberts to lead the newly-formed Roberts Commission to investigate the assassination of the late President Obama: he thanked Roberts for answering the call in accepting this major task of responsibility, then Chief Justice Roberts walked up to the podium to offer his comments: "Thank you Mr. President for allowing me to accept this solemn duty. I am grateful & honored for accepting this responsibility in chairing this important commission in investigating the details of that fateful Monday afternoon of April 28th, 2014. I know that this commission will be coordinating with both American & Philippine law enforcement agencies in bringing the culprit or the culprits to justice. We will get this done. Boeing C-32 flying over Coyhaique, Chile on the way towards Brazil...
Things were becoming rigorous & hectic in the packed traveling schedule for US Secretary of State John Forbes Kerry, who was in the middle of his Latin American tour: Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Argentina. Kerry was busy working with other counterparts in attempting to put together a coalition of nations in pushing economic sanctions against the brutal dictatorship of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro; even going so far as to launching more sanctions against the Venezuelan government, hoping it would lead to an uprising against the Maduro regime, changing the once oil-rich South American nation into democracy. Before going abroad for his overseas tour, Kerry had testified before the House Foreign Affairs Committee & Senate Foreign Relations Committee on the Venezuelan Crisis, which he called "the groundswell of another Bay in the Pigs in the making in the 21st Century as Russia, China, Iran & Cuba are making aggressive inroads in the country as well as into Latin America."
Informed by his Deputy Chief of Staff Andrew McPherson on a crisis going on in Rio de Janiero (where Kerry had originally planned on landing in attending a meeting with Brazilian government officials & members of the US Consulate General's Office at the airport), so USAF C-32 would have to remain on the air for several more HRS. Kerry went back to speaking with Brazilian Foreign Affairs Minister Luiz Alberto Figueiredo on the phone about the scheduling conflict, but he said that he'll be landing in a few HRS. Little did Kerry know that the Secret Task Force was tracking his plane waiting for the right time to attack.....

Tiago Ribeiro, who had enjoyed a distinguished military career with the Brazilian Marine Corps as a commissioned officer with the rank of Major receiving an honorable discharge after 13 years before moving over to law enforcement: serving in the Sao Paulo Police Department's Intelligence Unit, where during his time there, he used vicious, aggressive & controversial tactics against those he considered "threats to the Republic", which caused serious concern among his fellow law enforcement colleagues & fellow officers including many citizens living in Sao Paulo. Born on November 4th, 1959 in Brasilia, he had graduated from the Brazilian Naval Academy where he was among one of the Top 10% of his graduating class in 1981, where he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant & married Raquel Ferreria, where they would become the parents of eight daughters, but the marriage would end in divorce in 2003 due to his chronic womanizing.
Fast foward to recent years: Ribeiro was in a Brazilian federal prison facility & became a hired mercenary after being dishonorable discharged from law enforcement due to his aggressive violent actions inside the Sao Paulo Police Department. He had been a mercenary for six years & he lived with Aliyah's sister, Florencia, who was also a member of the Secret Task Force. During this time: his father-in-law, Alberto Ferreria (who was one of the superiors, who approved Tiago's firing from the police department) & his mother-in-law Grace Ferreria, neither of whom weren't fans of Tiago from the beginning for obvious reasons many years ago, were mysteriously shot to death via machine-gun. Some believed Tiago & his accomplices likely had a hand in that violent attack at the Ferreria's family ranch in the outskirts of Sao Paulo.
Let's go to the evening of May 28th, Aliyah had called Tiago to ensure he was ready to accomplish this "special assignment" for the next phase of the sinister plans of the Secret Task Force. Tiago assured Aliyah it would take him less than 30 minutes to reach his destination, & then he pulled out an Air Force uniform of the closet in the penthouse apartment. With the help of Florencia, he used Salvador Guerrero to get into the Santos AFB---with Florencia's help as Guerrero's "lover", he extracted Guerrero's compliance with aggressive force by threatening his teenage son, who was held captive by Florencia. After getting onto the base, Tiago told Guerrero "Your uppity bratty son is dead including your colleagues at the news station" as he killed him by using a silencer in his handgun & contacted Aliyah, informing her that the Guerrero problem has been neutralized. Tiago then took Guerrero's pass card & identification & snipped one of the Air Force pilot's thumbs off with a pair of pliers to bypass fingerprint locks. He then made his way through the next layer of security, passing Airman 3rd Class Julio De La Garza, a solider at the base, on the way. After exchanging salutes, De La Garza left & Tiago used Guerrero's severed thumb to verify his identity on a keypad, & passed through the security door.
Tiago's flight was delayed because of technical difficulties with the plane. He then questioned the mechanic, Staff Sergeant Zachary Loygaza, who informed Tiago the broken part of the plane wouldn't be available until the next day. Since the mechanic hadn't filed a report or notified the chief mechanic, Tiago gunned down the mechanic & dumped his body in the trash dump. Posing as Loygaza by wearing his clothes & told the chief mechanic, Master Sergeant Octavio Medici, that the flight was cleared for takeoff & that earlier difficulties were only a false alarm. Medici approved the flight for takeoff, which Tiago thankfully appreciated it & they exchanged salutes.
Aliyah phoned Tiago again & found that Tiago was given the green-light to take off in an F-117A stealth fighter jet. Tiago knew that the entire world would be looking for him & he asked Aliyah to confirm that his cover has been established & that he would be assumed dead. Aliyah confirmed this....

It was 9:58 PM BRT & US Secretary of State John Kerry was working on a speech he had planned on making upon arrival at the Brasilia International Airport later that night. He had been expecting to be greeted by members of the US Embassy in Brasilia & several distinguished guests. US State Department Spokesperson Catherine Towers informed the Press Corps (who were riding in the plane) that they would be landing in Brasilia somewhere between 10:25 PM & 10:47 PM, she also informed them to be very patient despite the long flight.
When Towers sat down in her seat, she briefly relaxed by overlooking the outskirts of Brasilia....but couldn't help after getting distracted by a shining light which was getting brighter non-stop "Now what in the world is this shining bright light shining at me ?" she had wondered. Before she had a chance to react on the situation, Ribeiro (who was flying in the stolen F-117A stealth fighter jet) fired two missiles at USAF C-32.....

Muir calmed down after several minutes, cleared his throat, drank some water & got himself together to deliver one of the most important breaking news stories of his life: "We apologize for breaking into regular programming this late at night, but we have breaking news update to share with all of you. USAF C-32 carrying US Secretary of State John Kerry, senior staff members of the US State Department & the State Department Press Corps, now we are just getting this report coming out, has been shot down by an air-to-air missile over the outskirts of Sao Paulo, Brazil this evening at 10:00 PM BRT. Now we're not sure how many casualties will be from this devastating plane crash. Now Brazilian TV news stations have reported that, I understand (via earpiece), that once the plane was hit by at least two missiles, the plane had tried to continue flying towards a destination in an attempt to avoid a horrific crash landing, but their efforts were unsuccessful & we're getting information coming in that USAF C-32 had crashed & exploded upon impact. I repeat, ABC News cannot confirm this & we're NOT going to confirm this at this time because it's an unconfirmed report.... I am told by the production staff that we're getting new information coming in from Sao Paulo...."

In an inevitable move with tacit approval from King Bhumbidoyl, the Thai Armed Forces overthrew Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra after three years in office, officially ending her political career. The coup has been in the planning stages for several months as a result of economic instability, political gridlock & protests against the government.
US President Joe Biden issued a statement condemning coup d'etat in Thailand, but stopped short of ordering economic sanctions against the Military Junta.
