They're naming a USN ship after a dude who was at best endorsing the murder of a US Senator...At worse...

Well to be more exact a Military Sealift Command Ship. To make things worse she was laid down on September 3rd so renaming her is out. On the positive side the first two new Oilers the USN has had in quite awhile are under construction with another four on order(with their names being the far more palatable Earl Warren, Robert F Kennedy,Lucy Stone, and Sojourner Truth)and another 14 planned and I'm hopeful that much like the Henry J. Kaiser class some of the later vessels will have the traditional river naming scheme.
I am Army, and since I have been in the SECDEF went from someone else to Esper while I was in basic,. So the SECARM from what I understand is pretty good. Our Chiefs of Staff are really good. Milley is very for the Soldier and for the Military then partisan (Last I checked)
The womans as qualified to be on the SC as the devil is to be in hell, I don't see how even the dems can stall for much longer...
the goal is to stall until elections are over and pray that biden wins.

Please note that I said the plan was going to fail and fail hard, the dems firmly burned their bridges with the republicans during the last supreme court nomination. They further burned out any remaining good will with the attempt to remove trump for investigating Bidens illegal actions which turned out to be true.

He too was an ideal Judge for them; weak on LGBT issues (Because he is in the closet and his wife and daughters are a cover), weak on the 2A and a simp for multi-nationals..yet they burned him so badly, he 180'd and now rules in ways he never would have prior out of sheer spite.

The evolution of Turtle Mitt to Cocaine Mitch has been glorious. I still don't like the bastard, but Lord on high he has become savage in his old age.

It seems the Dems went and boycotted. Graham went through the vote anyway and sent it to the Senate floor. The Dems have a press conference scheduled for 10:15 EST am today.
