Amazon Prime Amazon Fallout series.

New Vegas is the third worst fallout game out there.

Partially thanks to Avellone's SI, but also because holy shit there is literally no nuance to any of the characters except the NCR, and even with the NCR the nuance is only there to justify the independent ending being an option (it's fucking not, for the record, the mojave will fall apart without a strong guiding force and that leads to death). Every other faction that doesn't outright ally underneath you is evil. House? Evil. Legion? Stupendously evil. BoS? Evil until you effectively take over.

Only one of the DLC is any good, and that one is a parody!
Congratulations on having most retarded take of the year.

The NCR is split into at least two faction, the NCR's populations and territories exist but it's not unified. The NCR's antagonist was literally going to reunify the NCR with her cold fusion reactor and fix the leadership issue but the Brotherhood killed her.

Which means either the NCR "President" that captured the Ghoul becomes leader.
Or the NCR unifies under the threat of the Brotherhood
Orr the Brotherhood vassalizes them.

The cold fusion reactor is the dumbest fucking plot point ever. Fusion is well known and has always existed in this setting why the fuck is it such a big deal being made by what is a clearly a step backwards.

We don't get an exact date of when the platinum chip got created, for all we know it got finished the day before the bombs dropped. Personally that's what I always assumed. NVM so apparently the chip was created the day before the bombs dropped, so there probably was a delay since that only gave him 24 hours to get it.

Edit: I don't think the episode indicated that they'd know the exact time the bombs would drop just that they'd plan to make sure that they do.

Fair enough, he may not have known the exact date, which would probably indicate that Vault Tech didn't either.

Meanwhile in both Fallout 4/76, shit doesn't even NEED to collapse because it already has, and rebuilding is not possible.

The fuck are you talking about? 76 takes place quite literally after one of the very first vaults opens and fallout 4 is only 10 years after Fallout 3.

No it isn't, the "fusion" is literally just nuclear power in the games.

In Fallout 4, people haven't built a single decent-quality structure lmao, a fucking crackhead in detroit can build a better house than people who have had 200 years to rebuild.

Everyone lives in abject squalor, often with 200 year old human skeletons RIGHT NEXT TO WHERE THEY SLEEP.
Oh wait! A lot of people don't even HAVE a sleeping place, they simply sit on the floor instead.

???
I think he's talking about how microfusion was around but not big ass fusion reactors like we have for fission. You can thank the games for being so vague about it because we don't really know. Fallout 4 spammed a bunch of microfusion generators that never ran out for literal centuries. There's also Mass Fusion that has a lot of weirdness to it if you wanna look at their wiki page. Its all kinda annoying.

F76 kinda has fusion reactors... or maybe they are fission? Bethesda doesn't really explain.

I don't know if that's what he was talking about. Doesn't really matter because the NCR had electricity, trains and a growing industrial society. Shady Sands getting nuked out of existence doesn't mean the rest of the NCR is sent back to Fallout 1 levels with no power.

The Institute are the only ones who reinvented a broom lol

None of this is even true.

The cars that are "fusion powered" literally explode into radioactive mushroom clouds when you shoot them enough.

The ones with less energy density than actual fusion power but are just right for fission power after 200 years?

The T-51b is powered by fusion, I think its pretty well implied they had large-scale fusion reactors, not that it helped in the end because fusion doesn't' give you oil. Hell I think a lot of cars are fusion powered too, it might've been a recent industrial effort but they got there.
The Institute are the only ones who reinvented a broom lol
Apparently so! Is advanced technology!

All of this is true, yes.

Guess what? Fallout is a silly sci fi fiction with talking chameleon scalies, radiation ghoul zombies, green hulk smash expies and fucking psychic shamans. I think 'nuclear go boom' is hardly the largest concern for the series from a realism standpoint.

Besides the exploding nuclear cars are exclusive to Bethesda Fallouts, in FO2 the Highwayman was powered by any electrical source, small energy cells or microfusion.

Wacko science. We have literal fission batteries in FNV. I don't need to be lectured on how nuclear energy works when its obvious the makers of the games don't know either.

Yo wut. I can't tell if this is just goofing around. Fallout 3/4 both have the same problem with rickety and dilapidated living conditions that boggles the mind.

Fallout 4's settlement construction legit makes me question how they even survive winter. There's no insulation. As someone who deals with the cold every winter I can firmly say its pretty dumb. There's also just the immense amount of filth and junk around.

because fusion doesn't' give you oil.
Yes it does, because oil is a confluence of pressure, heat, and organic matter.

With fusion, it's commercially viable to literally just create oil.

... do you understand the concept of "gameplay-story segregation" or are you just naturally this stupid?

And yet they didn't do it, despite having Fusion in everyday products let alone industrial scale ventures. :V

You're overthinking it.

And now you're underthinking it. FO1-2 presented the wasteland with buildings that actually look like and could function as proper living quarters for those needing shelter.

FO3-4 present living quarters which would result in the deaths of those living in them.

I mean for fuck sake I don't think any of their structures have WINDOWS, something we have been able to construct with exceedingly primitive technologies.

I'm just assuming you care more about your opinion than stating fact since instead of arguing your point you insult me. I've only been polite here. It costs me absolutely nothing.

Your take is that the living conditions in Fallout 4 is for gameplay? And that in the story of it they are all clean, insulated and living like normal people?

FNV legit went out of its way to have power sources for places like Goodsprings. Fission batteries are all over powering the homes. You can find one right next to Doc Mitchell's door. The creators were on a time crunch and did a better job.

Megaton for example doesn't have a single obvious power source. Don't question it.

It was 2d, obviously it looked better and easier.

And also, you're fucking wrong. I'd post pictures, but I seemingly can't get a working link

Can I just say the weapon choices for the show is fucking weird in and of itself? First episode and people are running about with Sterling SMG's instead of vault-issued MP9 10mm Machineguns.
They have the classic 10mm pistol (colt revolver/semi auto mess that I love), but not much else???
Cowboy Ghoul has a weird high-caliber revolver that is home-made and that never shows up in the games, but why not just give him a 44 magnum? Or even a fancy trick-shot revolver like Lucky or somesuch?

>I'd prove you wrong but uhm..Uhh...Shit...
Heheheh.

You realize that like 99.9% of games have buildings that look functional for living? They actually had to go out of their way to make nonsensical houses that'd just get people killed.

I mean for fuck sake, people live 20 feet away from maneating insects in shanties with broken walls and missing windows!
