A good example on how everything becomes a culture-war (AI art)

A quote I quite like that I read on 4chan one time is "There's two types of people, those who want to be left alone, and those who cannot leave others alone". Thanks to the wonders of the second group of people, you end up with this nonsense.

Both subreddits listed are just a bunch of predditors making AI art, talking about models, and other inane boring stuff. The most hateful speech you'll find there is calling people luddites. Oh the horror.

Yet, as far as this person is concerned, they must be crushed, removed at all costs, for DARING to disagree with whatever stupid points they themselves have. They are HATE groups! And we can't be having that, now can we?

So there you go, why must everything be polarized to hell and back? It's because of these retards who are willing to burn your house down over a tweet, or put you in prison over a subreddit.

And they would be completely and utterly impotent, if not for the fact the powers that be, quite prefer them over you, because they're far more useful for sick twisted goals.

I mean...

These goofies have been reciting talking points about how "Everything is political!" for years now, so yeah; in retrospect, I suppose I shouldn't have been too surprised that they'd contrive an excuse to get mad about AI art. Already expect AI to get politically charged over the next few years, as is — which sad brainlets like her just have to poison even more. :cautious:

I would bet good money that a chunk of the same people shrieking like stuck pigs about AIArt were actively salivating years before about the potential for AI and automation to eliminate large swaths of blue collar workers.

What's that supposed phrase that quickly became hate speech? 'Learn to code'?

The situation with AIArtwork is a masks-off moment for alot of supposed technophiles. They love technology not for it's potential, but for how it could hurt their outgroups, or exalt their in-groups.

Turns out, their supposed creativity is alot easier to automate and artificially engineer than extreme automation they adored years before. All the effort they put in, worthless. They are no longer the gatekeepers of propaganda, or getting paid to make porn, so the technology they oh-so-loved beforehand is now a source of hatred.
