The entire Immigration management system needs more funding tbh. Regardless of your opinion on how many of the people the press calls "asylum seekers" are actually seeking asylum, a judge sending a woman back to her home country to get shot by the people she was running from because the judge...

...except an appeal isn't a trial of the accused. It's effectively a trial of the judgement/court. EDIT: I mean, the justice system is weird enough in some places that I'm not saying that's not how it works... just that it's not how I'd intuit to work.

...appeals aren’t a second accusation. That makes no sense.

..well... if he ever actually pays it out that would DEFINITELY be incitement and I'm assuming this is getting appealed. Bounties not being direct incitement is a VERY strange interpretation of "bounty"

eh, my problem is when you have CNN talking to a lady who's been here for 70ish years and needs a translator because she doesn't speak English. I don't mind people being bilingual. I do mind people not speaking English in America.

I'm just quitely giggling over here at this odd idea of "the US used to have unrestricted immigration". The US has literally NEVER had unrestricted immigration, there have ALWAYS been maximum quotas, mostly by country. Even back when the immigration was mostly from Western Europe there were...

AFAIK there has been TWO Nuclear Reactor related disasters. Chernobyl has already been covered and the only other one was "built it on a fault line and the safety measures were inadequate for an actual earthquake." On top of that there has been good success with small scale Thorium Liquid Salt...

there's been at least 60 miles of wall built, Border Patrol claims they'll have another 450 miles done by the end of 2020 or something also some privately funded wall projects have been happening at the same time.

the 14th Amendment exists because post Civil War we needed a sane way to handle the simple fact that we had a bunch of non-citizens that it was silly to consider non-Citizens. I don't know the origins of it in other countries in the Americas but I'd suspect we'd find many of them did it because...
