Seriously dude, for the Zulu, "they are coming for our women" is a serious hot-button. It's the sort of talk that gets mob violence against the foreigners in question, on a scale beyond the ability of the government to control.
There was a lot of extreme propaganda in both World Wars.
The concentration camps turned out to be real, as were a lot of other bad things, but many of the other stories were just that - made up stories.
