Derek Chauvin Trial: summer 2020 electric boogaloo

I think the important thing now is celebrating that George Floyd has now been clean of fentanyl for an entire year!

Derek Chauvin Trial: summer 2020 electric boogaloo

What a sham of a trial that was. Guilty on all 3 charges is insane. Chauvin did not knowingly or intentionally kill George Floyd. He died of a drug overdose while under police custody. They failed to provide medical aid and I feel they were negligent. But this was not a murder. I guess we...

In other news, the jury has reached a decision and will be reading it to the court between 4:30-5pm EST.

On that point, comrade, we can certainly agree.

Dude, you can move your head in a blood choke. That's why you're taught techniques to hold their head in place, and moving your head the right way (tucking your chin to protect the neck) is how you defend/escape them. But most untrained people actually move the wrong way and let the choke sink...

Derek Chauvin Trial: summer 2020 electric boogaloo

The knee wasn't on the back of his neck, it was toward the middle/front. Earlier in this thread I even pointed out that this would have probably been fine if his knee was further back.

Derek Chauvin Trial: summer 2020 electric boogaloo

Like I said, tried it. If you're on your side there is too much of a gap and it doesn't work, if you're on your belly like floyd was, the pressure between the knee and the floor is enough. Worth pointing out that it didn't work on the skinny guy I tried it on. He said he felt nothing and could...

Derek Chauvin Trial: summer 2020 electric boogaloo

A perfectly executed blood choke takes seconds. A looser choke, or one that isn't applied perfectly to both sides (such as maybe if one had a knee on one side but cement on the other, instead of something that would block the artery better) will take much longer than the 4-12 seconds you'll...

Derek Chauvin Trial: summer 2020 electric boogaloo

If he was further back on the neck it wouldn't be a blood choke, and would be a decent way to control. That's in too deep. It 100% looks like a blood choke to me. It was when I tried it. Again, that doesn't mean he intentionally held a blood choke. But yes, it certainly looks like one to me.

That's cutting off the carotid artery.

It's pretty deep in the neck. It easily looks like he could be on the carotid

Derek Chauvin Trial: summer 2020 electric boogaloo

I had a training buddy apply this to me. At the right angle with the pressure in the right spots, it's ABSOLUTELY a blood choke. Even if it's not meant to be when being trained. The pressure between the knee and floor puts enough pressure on for me to start seeing stars after it's held for a bit.

Derek Chauvin Trial: summer 2020 electric boogaloo

A knee on the side of someone's neck like that for nine minutes can easily cut off the carotid artery.

Derek Chauvin Trial: summer 2020 electric boogaloo

Pretty sure there isn't really any solid evidence left behind from a blood choke, seeing as if they're released you can recover just fine in a few seconds. (I have been in literally thousands of them)

Derek Chauvin Trial: summer 2020 electric boogaloo

The point I am willing to entertain: You can argue that floyd didn't intentionally kill him. You can argue that maybe it was the drugs that killed him. But the knee in the neck for nine minutes was negligent, and it certainly didn't help. People don't always die from "lethal doses." A...

Derek Chauvin Trial: summer 2020 electric boogaloo

I don't think this was much of an airway choke. Pressure on him could have made it difficult to breath, but from the angle I can see, it's mostly going to be cutting off the corotid artery, which will knock someone unconscious and eventually kill them, even if their airway is free.

Derek Chauvin Trial: summer 2020 electric boogaloo

Nobody is trained to hold a "blood choke" on someone for 9 minutes. I've done thousands of them and had them done to me thousands of times. Properly applied, you're asleep in 4-12 seconds. After 9 minutes, you're dead.

Derek Chauvin Trial: summer 2020 electric boogaloo

He had almost 9 minutes to come to his senses and there were several other police around. Sorry, "high pressure situation" doesn't cut it. Officers work in high pressure situations every day. He sat there stationary on the man's neck. For almost 9 minutes.

Derek Chauvin Trial: summer 2020 electric boogaloo

Ah yes maybe he was just acting, as he gasped for his final breaths, and as his body went limp, and his heavy labored breathing ceased entirely. Chauvin was totally just protecting those innocent bystanders. Oh Please. At the very least it was inexcusable negligence that happened here. As...

Derek Chauvin Trial: summer 2020 electric boogaloo

There were several minutes where he had stopped responding entirely and you had people there saying "he's not responding you need to check his vitals" and Chauvin chose to instead remain there with his knee in the unresponsive man's neck. Idk why so many people want to suck this dude's nuts so...
