Ah, sorry, didn't get that. The number is around 72-73%, not that you'd notice that if you took a stroll through a random pedestrian precinct.

    The War in Afghanistan

    Those are all actual Afghans.

    The War in Afghanistan

So, apparently they're not only transferring them in via Frankfurt, but also via Hannover. Average family size: up to 6-10 persons. I don't even want to know how many people there are... *groan*

Quite frankly, it should be automatically revoked. That being said, all negative decisions regarding asylum applications from Afghans have been put on ice. Not that there had been many deportations to begin with.

*snorts* KSK-Helden retten Münchner Familie aus Taliban-Hölle -- KSK (special forces ) heroes rescue Munich family from Taleban hell -- Munich. Family. Take a long hard look at that Munich family. Ancestral Bavarians, the lot of them (/sarc). On holiday. In a country supposedly so bad their...

Can't really completely evade them, but there are fewer newcomers in the former eastern states (minus Berlin, which is a shithole). The more rural you get, the more ethnically German it gets. That being said, if you're sightseeing in the bigger cities you should be pretty safe. *shrugs*

    The War in Afghanistan

There has been a significant increase in a number of crime categories like assault and sexual assault, and a new category has appeared that was formerly almost completely unheard of in Germany: gang rapes/collective sexual assault, and Afghans are highly represented in all of these. All in all...

See, that is acting competent, and we can't have that! Edit: There's obviously federal police present as well, but as far as I know passports and papers aren't even beeing checked for fraud right now, just copied.

    The War in Afghanistan

A couple of my colleagues and others from our department from all over Germany (over 200 in total, apparently) volunteered last week to process incoming Afghans at Frankfurt airport. I took one hard look at the letter asking for volunteers (ending with "Please help us in this important...

    The War in Afghanistan

I'd really like to know who all these people are that they (the German armed forces) are flying out. Given that there were less than 600 locals ("Ortskräfte") working for them by 2018...

    The War in Afghanistan

Just FYI why I asked @Zachowon about how those refugees would be vetted: the Afghani public administration and passport system is just as much a corrupt tribal joke as the ANA is/was. The baseline of Afghani papers is something called a Tazkirah/Tazkereh. It's a letter-sized sheet of paper...

    The War in Afghanistan

Nah, no need to be that harsh or petty. I just don't see how it's our responsibility to take them in, especially since all that'll do will create an unnecessary draw effect. Because, let's be real: for every 100 people we evacuate, 1000 more will start the trip to get out as well. And no matter...

    The War in Afghanistan

HQ actually sent out a call today for employees to volunteer for duty at Frankfurt airport to help register and ID Afghan evacuees for further processing (ie. being sent to the federal states so that their asylum cases could be swiftly started). I know of two from my department who actually did...

Good. Good. That's about the most sensible info I've heard out of my government w/regards to Afghanistan so far.

    The War in Afghanistan

The grand irony of the situation is that after 45 years of civil war, mayhem and corruption the Taleban may be the least bad of the available options for the country, and obviously they are seen as such by a significant part of the ethnic groups that constitute that state. And by least bad I...
