So, having just finished shift on my Klingon recruit, it occurs to me that STO is doing a much better job hiding whatever the big plot is so far, compared to Victory is Life where the twist was "foreshadowed" in Doomed to Repeated, but they did it so badly it was obvious what the big secret was...

That's actually good timing, I never actually used my first gamma recuit, it's a good time to remake them.

I doubt that will happen, most of the other recruit events have been designed to just fit in alongside the existing tutorial (save for the temporal recruit, but that was when they added all the TOS stuff that was independent of it). A Terran recruit event doesn't really fit into that frame.

I'm not nearly gay enough to care about the "no white after labor day" rule. And I'm slightly offended you think I am.

I hope what that means is "female PCs no longer have that comically girly run they used to have". Good, I'm sic of having to run off to that one planet every time I run out. I also see they updated the engine trails, though based on the description it's only a slight one. Which is annoying...

Between this and the universal availability of romulan ships, the trend for updates here seems to be "I never asked for this".

I just managed to do that during this upgrade weekend. Still need to rengineer them so they've got the quadruple damage mods I prefer (because clever tactics are for sissies, just pump the base damage and kill people like a real man).

What kind of ship? Because there are some general rules I'd suggest (science ships run torpedoes, cruisers have broadside means, cannons for escorts, etc), but if you have an idea for a specific thing you want to do or try I can be a lot more helpful.

I think it has a certain level of general appeal, but if you're not a ST fan a lot of the references and plot points will go over your head. But if you like spaceship combat but not hyper-detailed X-universe style combat, it's still fun.
