The bit that gets me is that this is an Azer Lane idea first and foremost. Given it's Marvel, could throw in some bits of Kancolle in the form of a couple Abyssals waking up in Canada and giving Marvel Canada the reaming it deserves. Maybe Habakkuk for the heavy bombers. And ability to shrug off some of the smaller nukes.

Like, just flat-out mass murder the entire political class who thought any of that was okay via carpet bombing of manors, and violently expose all the shit they got up to. Supertech attempts to deal with the entirely supernatural compacting of 1940s simply-weird failing in the face of two million tons of ice punching the idiots trying it well over the horizon, usually in very bloody pieces.

Even worse, corrupt evil government officials aren't going to be used to being attacked by Supervillains with specific intent to kill on the spot. The first grand public move is the last step of success, and before that it's just researching into the shitshow that is Marvel Canada. The idea that the response by a rather powerful being to learning about it would be to go after the politicians is so utterly outside the context of the setting that nobody'd prepare for it.

Seriously, nobody goes after Hydra's funding. Nobody sacks the people who approved the budget for Weapon X. Nobody ever cleans up the assholes up top in the civilian world making so much of this stuff possible. So when somebody does start doing it as a vast "Look at me, Punisher!", the setting ends up quite subject to considerable change, because all the "corrupt agency" type villains don't have resources anymore, because the people who do it are promptly killed off.

Actually, that's a further note. They're warships, they don't have any real context for all this high-minded idealism stuff and their offensive options start at anti-aircraft weaponry and go up to literal artillery. They see a round of the Sentinel project, they're shelling the facility into oblivion and having all the personnel just flat-out killed in the process. The setting really isn't equipped for final solutions of heavy ordinance and bombing runs.

If the first were as bad or dangerous as they believed and constantly accused, they’d already long be dead or worse

Theoretically, if one of those Sentinels ended up attacking say Latveria for even one mutant, I can see DOOM deciding to make an example of the idiot

My brain somehow went in the direction of Abyssal!Habakkuk managing to get hired by Stark Industries after wiping out at least half the Canadian Parliament. Could have her ranting about just how much of a pain in her ass Howard's abuse of intellectual property and patent laws has been for her because she was supposed to be a one-off strategic asset, so everyone designing her thought they'd be able to get him to buy in eventually to rid the Atlantic of U-Boats in one fell swoop... And it never happened. So she has a boiler assembly barely suitable for moving in harbor, and that's mutually exclusive with the electronics running properly, such as the refrigeration that keeps her hull from melting off.

Could also tie into Spider Man's tour of attempts at getting people to hire him on the back of his web-stuff by having her doing human resources/project management work because she's not up to snuff with the full supertech for a while, so she gets hiring and viability studies hawked off on her because she's a passable accountant who can understand what the hell the techies are talking about, even if the only contribution she can make to the tech is pointing out where it's overcomplicated nonsense better served by a bit of magnetic tape or a sparkplug.

And she gives the opposite complaint from usual about the webbing, that it lasts too long, because she's heard the cops ranting about sitting on their asses for two hours. Her suggestions for improvement are making it go away faster so those cops can use it themselves and Peter's vigilante shit eats less of their time, and work out non-adhesive fabric use of it so that it can be used for stuff like a parachute in a can, or other such edge-case safety equipment that can benefit from the capacity to abruptly have A Thing come out of a can instead of needing to unfold fabric.

She could end up getting him further in the hiring process on the basis of hydraulics and other fluid technologies because the web-shooters are actually a ridiculously efficient system that's quite useful for aerosols in more general terms, and there's uses for being able to get thirty feat on the spray for that tiny wrist-mounted slinger. For her, it's a pretty good boost to her boilers, but in more general cases it makes for vastly better fire extinguishers and painting equipment.

Gonna be honest, a colony of soldiers without a nation to fight for is pretty Metal Gear. I like the idea of the german navy girls leaving and trying to find a place to live. Of course, Magneto will likely try to kill them.

Why? As many people before said, the german surface navy was not manned by nazis and for all his faults Magneto is not one to mess with people actively trying to get out of the mess between humans and mutants unless they got a power that can change that balance, and shipgirls are neither a threat to his magnetic powers nor powerful enough to be a decisive weapon against his enemies, human or otherwise.

I was making a reference to how a good chunk of the WWII German Surface fleet spent at least some length of time in Norway(and of course many would never leave). Hmmm maybe they all move to a place that doesn't have a military like Iceland and become its defenders?

Considering Iceland's crime rate in real life, probably not. The German shipgirls would probably be busy defending Icelandic fishing rights 99% of time. Well except the whalers they won't even help them. On a side note one positive thing about the Corona Virus is that is got the Icelanders to stop whaling this year...let's hope it sticks and that Japan stops it as well
