Something I'm just idly speculating and not really thinking all that hard about:
The Left wants to claim that the hooligans breaking shit and hurting businesses are secret cops or Nazis, while conservatives argue that they're antifa. But at the end of the day, does it really matter all that much what those scumbags believe? Really, if we can get both sides to unite on making that shit doesn't really happen and forcibly restraining people who try that shit, that's the really important thing. And at the end of the day, I think it's pretty well accepted that the way cops are doing things has got to change. Focus on what unifies us as Americans, not on what divides us.

I'm more optimistic about that. I've seen a number of recorded incidents of the actual protesters making sure that the thugs face justice, and a large reason for that is that the protesters have come to the conclusion that the thugs are actually right-wing or secret cops. Whether their thoughts on said conclusion is correct is less important than the actual actions they take.
I do think a part of this is making sure that cops show restraint, to make sure that they don't needlessly attack protesters. Incidents where cops have tried to show that they are friends are good. You can't just use the stick to calm things down, some carrots will have to be thrown in.
Overall, there's a reason why "better training" has been a very popular idea for how to reform the police. I will note that I think a lot of the ideas around that mantra are very misplaced (requiring more educational credentials and years sitting in universities is far less important than time actually spent learning the job).

Honestly, hearing this from you than Aaron Fox who keeps going on about "Federalizing the police forces" and "no cop left behind" sounds like you can fix stuff
Though, I'd take the extra suggestion of there being higher penalties for cops as they are supposed to be representatives of the law and thus held in higher standards
Also, letting civilians use guns in self-defense and be there ti protect their livelihoods and homes
I'd also suggest extra body armor and some way for police to "take it" and wait for them to shut down
Storming the White House is all fun and games until the ominous release of the Secret Service's experimental Vicious Attack Dogs!

Not so “brave” really, actually now that I think about it, much of your Far Left isn’t so brave because they know deep down that many of the authorities, the government and even the Corporations are on their side
Hell, they own academia and entertainment and are mostly unchallenged and are the main voices
