This is not as wide spread as it looks, nor as final. It's a dozen of big cities out of a huge ass country. Don't get me wrong, this is still a massive protest but it's not as solid as it looks. It's mostly looking and riots, people mad from isolation sorta snapping as well. The actual politically motivated stuff is isolated, and mostly salty commies and Antifa fags trying to start a Bogaloo they would lose.

Its all about permissive environment and they know it. Their leaders and organizers know it too. Everyone knows that only democrat rule creates such permissive environments.
Restricted gun ownership and self defense, in state or failing that at least in city limits, police ordered to stand down and not crack down on rioting, soft on crime laws and justice administration politically selected to go easy on the rioters who do get caught.
If they made a mistake and tried doing the same in a wrong kind of place it would end very quickly and in tears.

Funny thing, these guys will probably go on about being ruled by Far Right Wing Fascist Nazi’s 24/7 whilst actually getting away with much

On a slight reverse, their authorities will probably easily and more casually involve themselves with “nothing crimes” and ignore the more dangerous peoples

There’s a meme involving some british cop not intervening in gang rape while beating up some guy with a pug doing a Nazi salute......I guess this means that it’s here wherein actual Criminals are truly free to commit crimes

Georgia outside of Atlanta is pretty red and the state overall is slowly becoming a swing state....which with two senate seats up for grabs this election due to one of the current two retiring due to health issues means metric tons of political ads will be heaped upon me come September and through the election.
 
Plenty of conspiracies being thrown around, and even discounting the more outlandish shit the situation is looking more and more like a trash fire.

This is being exploited to hell and back. Trying to tie this local incident to Trump, trying to claim "mostly peaceful protests" as a building literally burns behind the reporter, Twitter 1st world commies spouting ACAB... Let's be honest: this is getting astroturfed to hell and back to try and swing elections come November.
 
So there are claims by the mayor that the rioters are primarily caused/instigated by white supremacists. Since that is the case I have to give a lot of credit to these white supremacy groups for reaching out and including people of color. Just looking at the videos, shows how open minded these white supremacy groups now are. Good on them for being a force for diversity.

In other news... kinda heartbroken and the local SF&F community was gutted by this...



Burned to the ground. Nothing but ash and rubble left (along with many of the other buildings).

The owner said in a Facebook post that he doubts his insurance policy covers civil insurrection. So that's a nice bonus to all of the idiots stating that insurance can cover everything.

You guys need guns and to protect your stores, though the possibility of being arrested afterwards will occur

Anything Trump does will get acusations of racism thrown. So he is doing nothing and letting these cities burn. He already said he would send the National Guard but they say it is under control, so he is happy to let them sabotage themselves and look weak.

If the riots are some kind of highly-coordinated op with outside funding, they may already be responding behind the scenes and waiting for the right moment to strike publicly. Can't go off half-cocked if you want to nail the real perpetrators.
