Culture Pedophilia a Legitimate Thought Crime?

It looks like the discussion is confusing different things by lumping them under the same word.
Let me tell you a story:
There was a young chap who worked as an intern at a company I was at. Like a lot of people his age, he had a girlfriend, and they got intimate together.
The last time I saw him, he told me that it had turned out that his girlfriend has been lying to him about her age - and now her parents were pressing charges of Statuatory Rape!
I never found out how that ended - I left that company soon after as my contract there ended - but I don't think that young man really deserved to be treated a a criminal over this.

And more to the current point - he certainly would not deserve to be treated the same as a man who feels sexual attraction to little children, and can't or won't control that impulse!

AFAIK, even being given false information about one's sexual partner's age (including an ID of, say, a very similar-looking elder sibling of the same sex) is not an excuse for statutory rape in the eyes of the law, which I view as being REALLY fucked up! An underage girl can pretend to be her older sister who looks very similar to her and thus act as jailbait for some unwitting innocent guy! :(

And what are your thoughts on cartoon/animated child porn, child sex dolls, and child sex robots?

There's the Traci Lords precedent. Almost all of her X-rated film work was done while she was underage. Posessing a copy of said work today would be a crime but almost everyone involved got off scott-free because they were completely fooled (including Playboy) by the fakes saying she was older than she actually was.

The people who make such things have a very vested interest in making sure that no one underage is present during the proceedings.

This kind of situations is why many countries in Europe have age of consent set at 14 or 15. It dramatically reduces the chances that someone under the cutoff would have both the looks, brains and motivation to pass for 18+.

Correlation doesn't equal causation, northern Italy had far more political stability and industrialized earlier, then drove the process of Italian reunification, southern Italy was subject to far more chaos and a bunch of foreign occupations which brought upon distrust in central authority and the creation of the Mafia.

Such environments make people very averse towards foreign and new ideas and far more clannish.
Cousin marriage for example was and still is usually to when the extended family doesn't want to lose wealth to outsiders.
it is common in more turbulent, clannish times.

There was some research citing post-WWII Japan, where cousin marriage spiked, but the product of those marriages didn't under-perform as compared to that of more regular unions.

Interestingly enough, in the early and mid-19th century, I believe that France's age of consent was 11 before it was raised to 13 in or around 1863 and then raised again to 15 sometime in the 20th century.

It's notable that most of the US does as well. The federal limit is 16 and 3/5ths of the states have that, with another 8 states having it set at 17 and most of those have exemptions for relationships where both partners are younger. California has it at 18 no exceptions and their control over the media is why everybody scrambles for "18" in everything.

Re: Traci Lords: Honestly, if she herself is fine with her underage work being posted, then I see no reason for it to be prohibited. Ordinarily, actual child porn should indeed be prohibited, but if the victim is currently an adult and is genuinely OK with the material being released (so, no coercion, et cetera), then there is an argument that there could be room for an extremely narrow exception to this rule in such specific cases. But this consent needs to be genuine and only needs to come when the victim is actually an adult. So, the forbidden material would somehow have to avoid being destroyed until then, which is unlikely if it gets discovered before the victim actually becomes an adult.

It's not news to me. Regarding the corruption, it's more on ever since Italy unified, the Italian governments choose centralization over decentralization and then they never cared considerably for the South.

The only parties that SOMEWHAT ACTUALLY cared about Italy are three.

Italian Social Movement. Far right party.

5 Star Movement. Sold out to neoliberalism.

Brothers of Italy. Nationalconservative and rebirthed spinoff of Italian Social Movement.

If Brazilian or Italian police did their job like this I think a ton of Italians would be arrested.

Usually lots of men don't care about age, I am one of the odd ones who cares about it somewhat. Biggest age gap I had was with a Turkish girl. I was 25 and she was 21 (although, with Turco-Islamic culture, mentally there was a decade of age gap).

A Moldavian girl I met, 18, had a boyfriend of 30. She didn't tell me but you can figure it out they likely didn't wait for the 18th birthday.

When I used to be one of too many degenerate emos-goths, plenty of the girls were 14-15-16 and DELIBERATELY CHOOSE men who were in their mid-20s, or were even 30-40 yo.

Theater girl had a boyfriend of 27 and she was 20 and they had been dating for 7.

Polish friend first boyfriend they met when she was 12 and he was 16.

I don't think we have some kind of statuatory rape, or at least NOT like the US to be precise.

I haven't heard in 26 years of ANYONE who had charges like this dropped on him.

Regarding the point about protecting children from pedos, well, I think we are doing it all wrong.
We should be keeping the brats in 24/7 boarding schools with strict discipline, where there will be less chance for them to go and fuck like rabbits, that will also deter any pedos.

Also, the damned brats roam the streets, go to bars and cafes, smoke and get down to all sorts of illegal, for them at least, unhealthy and dangerous shit.

The current system lets irresponsible teens do whatever they want, go wherever they want.

Frankly I think school should focus on beating some common sense into them, instead of feeding them crappy poetry, leftist propaganda, and a lot of other gibberish with limited value.

Math, science, some personal economics, like why the hell it is bad to spend more than you earn, safety and the ability to understand the consequences of your actions.

Some brats will probably show themselves more responsible and gain their full freedoms earlier, some will probably need to stay under stricter control until they hit 18 or above.(Probably way above, if the soyboy libtard bright green hair Underwater Basket Weaving Masters' degree garbage western universities churns out is any indication).

Well, we are Brazilians. Ergo we bred like rabbits until recently (still far away from median age 40 thankfully) we inherinted the lust of Native Amerindians, Africans and Portuguese colonizers who probably arrived virgin in the Paradise of Sin. Not to mention that, we are not lucky as Colombians and other neighbors, but lots of girls have mature bodies before hitting 18, where you can find girls who have a D size chest and are like 14/15.

In Brazil, having sexual relations with a minor could get you a 'corruption of minors'("corrupção de menores") charge at the very least, 'statutory rape'("estupro de vulnerável") if the minor is younger than 14.

As with many things here, how the charge goes depends on who is being charged, though - Caetano Veloso's current wife lost her virginity to him when she was 13(and he was about 40, IIRC), and the only thing that happens is that Caetano sics his lawyers on anyone who calls him a pedophile in the media or internet(and given his clout, he gets sympathetic judges to his suits).

@bintananth sidenote : when I was planning to go Manaus , my mother's cousin told me explicitely to ask girls her age because of how often girls don't tell or lie.
