Why should that matter if it simulates an evil and forbidden act, though?
And do you favor banning sex dolls in general? Because NO sex doll can actually consent to sex, not only those sex dolls who look like children.
Also, the fact that one consented to something is not in itself automatically evidence that this should be legal. For instance, in many places, the fact that a patient has consented to physician-assisted suicide is not a defense against murder or manslaughter charges for the doctor involved. When it comes to law, consent is the most reasonable and consistent standard for determining what should be allowed or prohibited. If someone’s consent isn’t being violated, then the act should probably be allowed.
But sex dolls and sex robots are not giving consent! But of course this is also true for sex dolls and sex robots who look like ADULTS, not just ones who look like children.

You're going down a rabbit hole here and I'm not sure which branch of the warren you entered.
One branch leads to things like mechanical can openers which have absolutely no say in how they get used.
Another branch leads to things like smartphones which do have something to say about whether or not you're allowed to do something you wish to do.
Well, I just have a question for @The Whispering Monk: Why exactly are the consenting sexual partners of adults NOT the government's concern but which sex toys people use IS the government's concern? Because I really don't see much of a distinction between these things. "Oh, we don't care about your sex partners, but we care about which sex toys you use doesn't strike me as a position that makes a lot of sense, frankly!"
And to be fair, there ARE cases where the government does, in fact, care about people's sexual partners, such as with incestuous sex between two consenting adults. For that matter, some US states still have adultery bans on the books even right now.

The very idea that there can be such a thing as “robotic rape” is ridiculous. Rape is something done to humans, a machine cannot be raped and requires no consent.
You could program a robot to resist one's sexual advances, though.

What's considered incestuous varies from place-to-place and time-to-time. In Ancient China having the same surname - even if the two were completely unrelated - was considered incestuous. In most of the world today a 1st cousin is not off-limits.

Because it should always be in our society's and government's interests to err on the side of caution when protecting children. They are, by definition, incapable of providing informed consent. As previously mentioned, the pedophilia issue is complex, but has shown that enabling the fantasy normalizes that behavior for the pedophile. If you allow this, then you are not necessarily advocating for legal pedophilia, but YOU ARE enabling pedophilia.

I think the distinction here resides in the fact that in RL you can't go out and genocide a whole lot of civilizations like you can in a 4X game without an enormous number of people also saying "yup, let's do this".
