Military Cringe Thread

For all the mindnumbingly unfunny idiocies that militaries around the world spew out.

Starting with another attempt by US Army to appeal to idiots and midwitts

Skepticism for everything that isn't official source, because we know those ''never'' lie.

BTW, I talked to AF member who returned from Iraq recently and according to him, while staff and support elements in the sandbox are all regulars, all combat elements (except SF) are either NG or reserves. It's weird that with the current level of commitment they still need to do this.

The unit in charge is changing and getting smaller. Within a year or two.
I know because my unit is currently the highcom for it

First time hearing of these
The 'privilege walks' were in the AF, and they are the wokest of the services.

However Sen. Cotton said he's gotten hundreds of complaints, and it sounds like this is a cross-service issue.

So it may just be you've been lucky enough to have immediate superiors who aren't interested in wasting your time on this kind of thing when there is real work to be done.

It probably happens in certain units and units they know will push back armt told to do it

Hey is it possible to defend only certain units or does congress only have the hammer option of defunding the army as a whole?

Depends
the unit if they are FORSCOM, INSCOM, TADOC, etc etc
Don't know what those are, but can specefic units be defunded. Like let's say a conservative president and congress wanted to defend the 101st because they were too woke for example, could they do it narrow it down and defund just that one specefic unit that they have a problem with, or do they have to punish the whole group it belongs to?

Oh for sure.
The thing is they would just strike down the commander and any that support his policies once enough service members go to thier congress people's.
Because you have a given right to go to your elected officials.

Oh, so the president or congress can fire/purge the soldiers that are spreading the woke bullshit. If they wanted to of course.

Yes and no.
They can and can't purge
One still has to be given a reason before they can just fire them.
There is a lot of things that go on on such situations
