What happens when society becomes shamelessly hedonistic? Where before, people sought meaning behind their own pleasure, now pleasure is all there is. Can a society develop and survive that way?
It shouldn't be full hedonistic but you shouldn't expect it not to he.

I dont know what society your living in but this is not a shamelessly hedonistic culture.

People talk a lot about sex and nudity but people are having less sex now then during the 1980s. People might smoke more weed but their not doing drugs to the level of the boomer generation. Club culture was basically dying before covid because of MeToo# covid basically took that and put a stake into the club as an insitution.

If anything the era we currently live in is more authoritarian, and puritanical then a lot of past eras. Oh sure theirs a lot of talk and more available porn but very few people get to actually live that kind of hedonism. Its at the point where if the religious right did take over people would probally ironically end up having more sex then now because their would be a slightly healthier atitude towards relationships at play.

We don't live in a hedonistic culture we live in a puritanical nightmare world controlled by crazy control freaks, a shamelessly hedonistic culture would be a step up from the bullshit we currently live in.

I'd say we're living in a post free love world. Sex and promiscuity is at once encouraged, and yet, stringent standards are loudly preached about. The end result is certain people having a great deal of sex and certain people having much less. Promiscuity is encouraged in women, but only the top 10% of men benefit from it.

The end result is less sex overall because there are less monogamous relationships, but women consistently sleep with the same small population of males. The unhappiness from that in turn leads to many of those same women moaning about consent, patriarchy, etc. and browbeating other men while being willing to throw those standards out the window to fuck aggressive, attractive males.

When it was the norm, lifetime monogamy and pre-marital chastity (even if many people did not live up to it completely), produced more monogamous couples having more sex than the current population of dysfunctional, single adults.

The pursuit of pleasure led to the reality we have now: broken families, low fertility rates, abortion, etc. No-Fault-Divorce and abortion let people escape from life's challenges and we see the result.

And at the same time you can't blame that on the people but the government trying to take control over the people by promising stuff. If the government was not so free, we would have a society where hedonistic people would wear protection and do things properly

From what I've been able to gather, Fleiur is something of an extremist when it comes to condemning the "sinful ways" of society. If it doesn't involve quoting scripture and praising god 24/7, from their perspective it is shamelessly hedonistic; or at least, that's the impression I've gotten.

Sometimes I wonder about the facts of decreasing birth rates if people I know do end up getting married and having kids. Sadly one couple had a miscarriage.

This lines up fairly well with what I've seen.

That poll on a dating website, I think it was eHarmony, showing that men have a pretty balanced distribution in how attractive they rate women, but how women rate men...

0% of men were rated as 'most attractive.' Something like 80% of men were rated as 'below average.'

The attitude that this culture encourages women to have towards men regarding romance and sex, is incredibly destructive for both genders.

I could go on, but this is heading towards derail.

At the same time, you need to convince people to refrain from destructive behavior and support cutting off subsidies for it.

How am I an extremist, Terthna? I just point out the bad results of hookup culture and argue against abortion. Those aren't uncommon positions here.

I should have expected that really
I'm sure both the Chinese and Russians have deployed 10s, they just don't end up in the news because they actually are successful :p You don't send a 10 to some nobody mayor, you save them for the people with actual power.
Remember that Russian spy from a few years back? They caught her before she did anything but she was hot enough she has turned it into a career :p

If they do it enough, a new god (of tits and wine as Tyrion Lannister would say) can be spawned in the process.
Praise Slaanesh.
