You're a Jedi who survived Order 66 what do?

You're a Jedi and Order 66 just happened. Luckily, you survived, but now the new Galactic Empire has declared you an enemy. What would you do to stay in one piece?

I'm going by Legends Cannon where some Jedi survivors survived all the way up to Luke's New Jedi Order. You're free to go by Disney Canon if you wish.

I'm not too familiar with the EU, much less the Disney canon.

Going by George Lucas' films, I only really need to survive the purge and the immediate few days or weeks after. If the Empire was smart, they would have downloaded the faces and DNA records of every Jedi listed in the Temple Archives, which Obi-Wan and Yoda didn't erase (they only set up the warning beacon). The Empire would then load this face data into seeker droids (like the kind Darth Maul used in TPM), and deploy those droids on every planet. If the droids see any Jedi listed in the archives data, the droids send a signal back to the Empire and the death squads come. However, in the movies the Empire isn't doing that, not even to find Luke or other known members of the Rebel Alliance, so I think I will be safe. At least not on outer rim worlds like Tatooine.

Perhaps even mid and core worlds would be safe, as Alderaan was apparently the headquarters of the Rebel Alliance and was a core world, and yet Darth Vader only randomly guessed it might have rebels on it when he captured the blockade runner and found out that the Princess of Alderaan was on it.

More than likely I will settle down in the outer-rim, like Tatooine. Find a community to become a part of. Hope to gain their trust. If I can, try to pass on what little I know about the Force and the Jedi to other people so that it lives on. Maybe join the Rebellion when it gets going and if I'm not held down by obligations, like family.

Staing in Empire is deatch, unless you want betray and work for them - but ,in that case,Palpy would kill you anyway.

Become a Bounty Hunter/Gambler/Scoundrel.

Many Bounty Hunters wear full body armor including face-covering masks, which can help with being recognized. Armors also often distort the wearer's voice (See Leia as Boushh) to further avoid being recognized. This is obviously going to be useful. These kinds of characters tend to hang out in Hutt Space and Outer Rim territories, which is where I want to be in the first place, away from Palpatine. Bounty Hunters are also often solitary types so I can have a good excuse to keep people at arm's length, avoiding the risk of somebody getting close to me and figuring out I'm a Jedi. There's no particular reason a Bounty Hunter wouldn't try to win a few extra credits at a Sabacc or Pazaak game so picking up the odd winning here or there will help.

The more subtle uses of the force can be handy for both bounty hunting and gambling. I don't need to be moving objects around or the like that will out me as a Jedi. Having superb reflexes and being able to find guidance in the force as to where my quarry is or sensing the emotions of the other gamblers across the table are enough to have an edge on the competition and guarantee a reasonable life.

Avoid becoming too successful. Winning a hundred creds in a backwater cantina = good, winning the interplanetary megajackpot on a casino planet several times = bad. Similarly being a reliable mid-grade Bounty Hunter who brings in fugitives every couple of weeks for eating money is safer than being spoken of in the same breath as Boba Fett and Cad Bane.

Lay low with this lifestyle for several years at least. Consider looking for an apprentice/joining the Rebellion later on.

Buba

A total creep
I cast "Light Side Clouds Everything" on myself and thus become invisible to Force sensitive goons sent after me by Palpy.
I set up the Resistance and - as I've got no training in this area - I get arrested and executed by the local plod inside a week :)
Points nos.1 and 2 seem stupid? I agree - but IMO fit the setting and canon like a glove :p

become a merc while wearing a mask and make a weird religious or culture reason why not to remove ,and use my force powers to con pirates or other mercs to give me their goods then kill them or enslave and just have a slow life of working for the highest bidder , and dont join any side cause the plot will kill me if i join any side but if i have the chance i will risk to try and steal princess from jabba

Are we going for the Disneyverse where Palpatine wants to kill everyone who sneezed within 2 meters of a jedi or the EU where it was primarly Vader with the hate on for the jedi with palpatine only really caring if a Jedi actively caused trouble?

You pick whichever you want. I prefer Legends. Though I like some Disney stuff like Ashoka.

Oh and isn’t this going very close to the dark side? Like killing people when they are prisoners or enslaving them could lead to you being a Sith.

going by legends, I'll probably join a local security force as a stormtrooper and keep my head down and work up the ranks at a local level, keep in mind (in legends at least) the majority of the empire's evilness mainly rested within the upper elites and even then it did not outright show itself till Tarken's philosophy was really a thing. On top of that, My jedi probaly would become disillusioned with the republic anyway. Once Alderaan is destroyed, hmm....Would probably try to shake the empire up from the inside. I don't think I'd ever be convinced to help bring back the Republic. Not after being a veteran of a three year war that even without sith involvement would have existed strickly to cover the Republic's butt.

Turn to the Dark Side, and kneel before Darth Sidious. I never liked being a Jedi anyway.

The Emperor - at least in the EU - actively welcomed Dark Jedi into his ranks. The Inquisitorious, the Dark Side Adepts, the Emperor's Hands...there's plenty of room. Unlike the Jedi who were all the Code forbids this, the Code forbids that...

What are your plans for surviving as an apprentice of the Emperor, then?

Palpatine murdered his master, and has always been paranoid that he might be murdered by one of his apprentices. Hence why he's constantly trying to engineer the downfall of his apprentices. He tricked Dooku into being killed by the apprentice Palaptine actually wanted. And then when Luke came along, who had greater potential than Vader, Palpatine then immediately tried to goad Luke into killing off Vader. And even if Luke didn't do it, Palpatine wanted them to kill each other, so whoever lived would be demoralized and more malleable. And if you include Clone Wars, then Palpatine didn't like the idea one of his former apprentices, Darth Maul, still being alive, and tried to kill him off to clean up loose ends.

If you pledge yourself to Palpatine, you're placing yourself in a huge amount of danger. Palpatine will always be reevaluating your potential for power and how easily you will be controlled compared to any other force user, like Vader and Luke. If you're not as powerful as them, or deemed to not be as controllable, then Palpatine might try to dispose of you. If you are a better candidate than Vader or Luke, then they might try to engineer your death so they can climb up the ladder to become more pleasing in the Emperor's eyes. Trying to goad Vader into overthrowing the Emperor is a bad option, because 1. Vader is loyal to the Emperor and might use that suggestion as an excuse to kill you off, and 2. Vader habitually kills his own subordinates so you're playing with fire here.

Oh, and the rest of the galaxy will be trying to kill you.

I don't know. Joining Palpatine is like trying to join Stalin's regime. You're dealing with a paranoid master who is killing off anyone he deems too smart or inconvenient, and you're competing with other officers who are constantly undermining and backstabbing each other trying to gain more favor in the boss' eyes. And the rest of the world is trying to kill you too. Life expectancy = very short.

What exactly do the Jedi forbid? The only thing I know is attachment which is broad, but it doesen't seem to be enforced except in the case of romance.

And yeah signing up to work under Palpatine is one of the dumbest things possible. The only thing preventing you from suffering Ramsay Bolton tier punishments is that Palpatine is too old to get it up, but he is definitely evil enough to do that and more while laughing.

to be fair, Palpatine in legends was more practical than he was Disney canon (He was actually very angry and disturbed at Tarkan for blowing up Alderaan, because turned out many of the empire's best and brightest were from Alderaan and blowing it up spelled a PR disaster) if your a Jedi in legends the one you need to worry about is Vader. To say the guy had a hatred for anything related to the jedi was putting it lightly.

Umm wasen't there a comic where there was a female PR agent who was trying to make propaganda for the Empire to make people more loyal and cut down the rebellion but she was pissed at the Emperor because he couldn't control himself and kept doing evil shit for the lols?

No one said anything about being an apprentice to Sidious. That's Vader's role, and in the EU, plenty of Dark Jedi served Sidious well. In fact, he collected as many Dark Jedi as he could, as part of his long-term plans to replace Imperial Governors across the galaxy with Dark Side Adepts.

yeah, but the main reason people become sith in the starwars is that they are immature emotionally where they keep numbing themselves to the point that they make themselves vulnerable to negative emotions look at anakin after losing his mom since he wasnt train to handle negative emotions he was train to be numb to emotions , but the thing with that is that is nearly biologically impossible ,and by meaning i wont join sides means i wont fight for them unless im paid and stuff

I suppose one way of going rather outside the "Mercenary/Bounty Hunter/Avoid Getting Involved" box would be to hit up Lothal and open the World Between Worlds.

Then use it to commit grand theft everything, since you can take stuff from any time just find a time when Jabba just packed five hundred aurodium ingots in his treasury and yoink them. Possibly bring a long pole with a hook on the end for more efficient yoinking. Once you have the ingots, toss them into the hold of your ship and go nuts.

Come to think of it, it wouldn't be a bad place to live. Sure it's creepy, but you can handle food and water needs via yoinking and make sure the Empire never gets inside by tossing grenades (you yoinked) into the bedroom of whatever agent is responsible for discovering the World Between Worlds whenever he gets close. Got to avoid looking at Palpatine since he can see inside, but basically, you could set up a nice base in there, go to anywhere in the universe as needed, and yoink whatever you need.
