I think, therefore, the best solution is to retcon that detail that has elapsed virtually everyones notice till just recently, has had no play in the IC thread and is contradictory to Tauphys own actions, and most people are very uncomfortable with, to just him having a hand in much of life, not all.

Perhaps a compromise position would be that races older than a certain age were created with Tauphys' involvement, but newer races (such as the undead and Kobolds) were created without? That more or less keeps the original lore intact while also not beholding everyone to having to go through a single player.

Anyway, just my 2 cents. I don't think Yukitamas was planning on literally every race, rather, things beyond the one or two chosen races by their god.

I’m fine with working with Yukitama to create a race, but my opinion was that Lravitus could create his own races of fungi. The only race that would need discussion now are the Ents and Pebbles.

I think we have something workable here. What are your thoughts @Yukitama?

Now that's fine and dandy but if you also want to say that he is the father of the spirits he slaughtered, and then also didn't spend any of the time to actually get to know their significance to that god before taking those actions, then thats kind of BS.

My point is that he didn't make the Kobolds, they are a deities chosen race, Koy made those. However, if Koy was going to make, idk, Unicorns, I think it is fair to pass it through a nature god.

I certainly had no real involvement (unless someone went out of their way to involve me) in the creation of each god's mortal race.

The Cuttings are a reflection in a sense of the civilizations of each gods and are something below mortals in terms of being people. Something closer to beasts, or expressions of nature.

All in all it isn't like I made all life, but when it comes to wild-life and nature I am the god that manages, overseers and guards it. Considering I am also a giant flaming treant or ent myself I'd think that something like tree people would be something that kinda is more towards me? I'm fine with Lvraitus making mushrooms but I don't really see why he needs to make more kinds, or things that don't relate to that and seem closer to my domain.

The ocean is spooky and I imagine Earon and I have pretty equal shares in managing oceanic life, while coming together to make the weird boss monsters and a monster race too.

It may be "Canon" but it seems to have not been realized to even be a part of the setting until just now by most players. Seeing Tauphys massive contempt and complete and utter lack of understanding of Kobolds, their nature, and their relation to Koy, it seems ridiculous to me that he would also have had a part in creating them. This is a lot of big assumptions. There's no disdain, there's no contempt, or lack of understanding?

They're things that shouldn't be at the godsmeet. He's an odd stickler of sorts who tries to follow the rules. The gods should either send their avatar, or be present themselves. Whether it be in their full presence or at least an echo or image for the meeting.

The very opening post says that

If he wants to participate then he should participate properly. It shouldn't be surprising that someone like Tauphys, or potentially Ti An would oust out or remove the Kobolds as things that do not belong.

Otherwise while it isn't like I made an Earth Mothergoddess type, I am very much the god of the wilds, nature and the flames of life. I'd certainly hope I am involved in it to a deep extent like any god is with their own concepts.

I had read it as something like "he's the god of nature and life, so of course he would be involved on some level in the creation of life". But in a way that's more like how Amenti watches over death, Earon governs the seas, Khunji rules the skies, Sharivar and Sahira make the Sun and Moon move through the heavens, etc. An abstract level, on the order of embodying or providing the raw sparks (flames) that the gods would form into the mortal races. Not necessarily to the degree of actively interfering with all the races that were being made.

The specific claims that I saw were related to nature itself — the wilderness, in opposition to organized mortal society. The beast-races, the land-lifes, and other kinds of creatures that represent the more primal side of things and stand as a stark reminder to the kingdoms and nations that the world will not be so easily tamed by the machinations of personkind.

Of course The Cuttings in turn are also at times useful for the gods that they come from so of course there's reason for them to be accepted and made.

I guess I just, don't see the problem in having to ask someone else? It isn't like Tauphys has declined doing stuff like that. It feels like side stepping and trying to avoid having to deal with someone despite wanting things they can do.

I don't think anyone has made a deity of the earth itself yet. But the separation of the earth and sky is a key event in many real-world mythologies, and occurred in this cosmology as well as per Amenti's history. Things like harvest, life, and motherhood that are often associated with earth goddesses are already a part of existing deities' portfolios, but the primordial aspect of the planet itself remains.

@almostinsane if no one new comes to claim the domain of Earth, can I make something for Khunji's separated-but-not-quite-divorced ex-wife?
