Interesting premise.

I guess we will never see 9/11 and get the USA will get the equivalent to the TSA a lot earlier.

Access and usage of smaller aircraft will be limited, more paperwork will be required to obtsin pilot training, and this coupled with riding numbers of hijackings will force authorities to mandate that the doors to the cabin be locked and reinforced, and that the flight crew be trained and armed, I see a lot more options for former military pilots to retire, since they will have priority with their military experience.

As to Rockefeller finally getting closer to the White House, well, he was a more left-leaning "conservative" and more liberal on some ways.
It would be preferable that he does not get to the white house.

I feel like Nixon gets a worse rap than what he actually was. He ran on the promise of ending the Veitnam war and he did do that. It was JFK who many people have an overly inflated view of that really escalated that conflict.
