I look at the democratic party and I see way too many cracks and fissures. To many competing and non complimentary goals in total opasition. Do they have massive power outside the electoral system yes, but during the pandemic they massively damaged those insitutions.

Academia?

We just had and entire generation of kids forced to do work online, why go to a meat school in person when you can get the same education for cheaper on line. And professors with those taped classes well thats all out in the open now easier to find people not doing their jobs and pontificating their personal idelogy. The college bubble was going to burst envitably and that day has drawn much closer.

The media? the legacy media is not doing well their bleeding money like crazy and new alternatives are rising each day. It looks bad to us but all their actions their not the actions of some one in power their the actions of the desperate. And they more or less broke them selves to get a barely there victory.

When their party collapses it will be incredibly ugly for them.

You also have the fact COVID has broken the economies of New York and California. Red states were hurt, but ignoring the excessive lock downs helped. And with gridlock, bail outs are unlikely.

California was going bankrupt before Covid, we have 2 years before the fiscal crisis is insurmountable. What ever deals we have to be bailed out we will make. The other choice is complete economic collapse.

And with the senate going team red after this election you can bet there are going to be concessions, given the bitterness. Or alternatively if the bitterness is bad enough, no bailout will be reached and it will collapse.
Edit: because trying to get a deal from people you harassed for 4 years, and now they and their supporters feel you cheated your way into power isn’t gonna go very well.

Nancy will probally retire after the deal is made and we will be fucked during that deal. Expect Hollywood and tech to be fucked over as part of the price.
